A compact Pultec with EQP-1A low end – many engineers find it more transparent. The Pultec EQH-2 was first introduced in 1956 as a compact option to the EQP-1. Its low-frequency boost and cut curves are identical to the EQP-1A, with comparable high peak frequencies, a fixed-bandwidth high peak and a fixed 10 kHz high cut. It uses the same minimalist class A tube output stage as the MEQ-5.
Why customers choose it
Who it is for
Engineers who want Pultec low end with a simpler, more transparent high section – on bass, kick, vocals and acoustic instruments.
