The Edifier D12 is a high quality desktop Bluetooth speaker that offers rich 2.1 sound quality with added bass from the built in ported subwoofer. Unlike many other complicated speakers, you don’t have to struggle to set it up, and it won’t take up too much space. Place it wherever you want, such as your living room, study room, dining room, or bedroom, just connect the power supply and it’s ready to use. A quality wooden enclosure with minimiSes acoustic resonance outputs a sound beyond anything you have listened to before. RCA/AUX input port for versatile connectivity to external devices such as a TV, turntable, DVD, and a line out if you ever want to add an extra subwoofer or active speakers. Also, you can connect it wirelessly with your smartphone, laptop with the help of Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity. Three top-mounted knobs (Bass dial, treble dial, volume control/input selector) allow for simple, accurate control of the treble, bass, and volume/input.

These are truly underdogs! Hidden gem and best to keep it this way as only true audiophiles would know these speakers from edifier. Small wonder!

I have connected my TV through a SMSL DAC. The volume scale is large enough. The clarity is definitely acceptable. Not sure, due to my DAC or the speaker itself, the female vocals and instrument separation is good. But the male vocals of low frequency is less clear though. The port sensitivity is much controlled, and doesn’t affect the boominess in low frequency, based on the speaker placement – distance from wall. Compared to Presonus Eris3.5 I had earlier, this D12 sounds less stressed and strained. Decent value for money.Bluetooth connectivity is good. Remote is not that helpful, and not stable.Stereo separation is not the strong point – obviously for a single cabinet design. But the sound is not muddled or suppressed.

Great build quality, basic yet effective functionality, Great sound drivers and aesthetically pleasing to look at and work with.Having a remote control really helps, too.Also, comes at a great price!An almost perfect home speaker.Tip: use the cinematic mode even when listening to music for a richer experience with enhanced Bass. When listening in background, use the music mode.
