The two-channel TDP-2 passive direct boxes combine premium though-hole components, European-made transformers and rugged, road-ready construction to deliver rich, warm tone in any environment. Boasting an ultra-flat frequency response with extremely low distortion and self-noise, the TDP direct boxes excel at capturing everything from synthesizers and keyboards to acoustic-electric guitar and electric bass with a certain subtle and unique character. At the heart of all TELEFUNKEN Elektroakustik direct boxes are custom-wound output transformers made in England by OEP/Carnhill. Each channel features premium metal Amphenol connectors and recessed metal switches to engage the -15 dB pad and ground lift. These elements combined with premium passive components (including 1% tolerance metal film resistors, and WIMA and Nichicon capacitors) are all housed in a rugged aluminum chassis designed to withstand the wear and tear of the road. Like all TELEFUNKEN microphones, all TDP direct boxes are assembled and critically tested in Connecticut, USA.
