The VideoMic Me is a compact and lightweight, high-quality directional microphone that connects directly to an iPhone/smartphone’s TRRS microphone/headphone socket. Its flexible mounting bracket accommodates a wide range of smartphones and allows the microphone to be fitted for primary camera or front camera (‘selfie’) use. A 3.5mm headphone jack on the rear allows for play-through of audio while recording (app dependent) as well as easy playback of your videos without having to remove the microphone. All buyers note: This product is for iPhone (older than iPhone 7) and older than iPad Pro, since newer models do not have a 3.5 mm jack. Even if you have a converter, it leaves you with a dangling unfixed mic which doesn’t serve the purpose.Pros:- Sound quality is crystal clear, even with a 3 ft distance. Impressive clarity.- It points directly on to your face, and so other noise is limited- BIGGEST ADVANTAGE: Headphone jack behind the mic, you can use it for call conferencing by attaching it via aux to any of your speaker. And believe me, it cancels all the noise and the other person doesn’t hear any echo. I am actually using it for this for my office calls.Cons:- Noise cancellation could have been better, but still is fine with quality of sound.I am using it in my iPad Air 2 for office conferencing Skype and Zoom calls other than YouTube video shoots. Hit like if you find the review useful.

It’s a good mic for those who love to record stuffs from the phone itself directly. As it’s small and handy it does the job pretty decent for the size and what it’s asked for (directional mic)Built quality is solid goodMic sound quality is pretty audible and clear upto a certainWindshield is okay .. could have been a little more better but does a Fantastic job though.. however, for this price we getting a decent product with wind shield or wind cap whatever you like to call it.Just still felt a bit pricy for a mic.

I have a YouTube Channel called “Premster14” where I shoot on my phone. Needed an external mic and couldn’t find any better than this. The wind muffler it comes with is great!Just 2 cons – my mic literally flew off the bike when it wa attached to a Samsung Galaxy S7 edge. So buyers, stick to using it to an iphoneSecond is, the wind muffler doesn’t work when you are on a 2 wheeler recording something. The wind will ruin your video!Overall excellent product for stationery use!

Excellent sound quality. I use it always while recording all my home videos and also use it to record ambient sounds. It works gr8. Compact size a perfect mic for a mobile. It cuts sounds from behind Mic, reduces sound from sides. Picks up sound perfectly from front. Gr8 quality build also.

Don’t buy this microphone. I bought it on Amazon and it is 12 times as expensive as a lapal microphone which btw work without complain. This microphone I purchased in March. I am using a One plus 5 T phone and first of all this microphone is not detected on the main camera which still records sound from inbuilt mic despite having this put on.I had to download an external app (Open Camera) which detects this mic and did record well in initial 2-3 videos. However barely after a month of purchase and been shot only 3 videos of 10-15 minutes each this mic stopped recording voice in middle of an interview I was doing. I was infuriated.It did record some faint sound later in other video but the quality was not as good as earlier.I called their suppliers here in india and they said we are located at delhi. Register your device online for a warranty and send it to us by courier. I don’t expect this equipment to come back before one month.Honestly, I didn’t expect to have such bad experience with a microphone 12 times more expensive than some fine lapal mic.I will not buy an expensive microphone from an established company like Rode. Disappointed.

I wanted mic for my YouTube channel ( Avudai Yoonus) henceI bought this product. It was not working using inbuilt camera on Android mobile. Then i installed open camera app. After setting is over it working some time and some time it is not working. Hence i replaced.

Excellent. Works with my android phone too! Just got to work around the settings and use a third party camera app for android phones. Picks up sound well with minimal background noise. Delivered well in advance by Amazon. Thanks !

You know what, the review given by the customer in the section was correct. It did not boost in any volume than my phone’s built in microphone. to be more precise I used a spectrum analyser. I noticed that the volume given by my phone’s inbuilt microphone and the volume from this microphone was the same. Rode people please do something please improve this product. If the mic needs USB power to increase the microphone sensitivity please add that feature but make the product better
