MOOER micro preamps are sonically accurate digital recreations of the preamp sections of popular tube amplifiers. We have developed these by directly analyzing real tube amplifiers using a brand new technology to capture their sound, dynamics and response. Each Micro Preamp comes complete with dual channels, integrated speaker cabinet simulation and dual operating modes to suit the needs of all users.

Mooer’s Micro Preamps use cutting-edge tone capture technology to create faithful digital recreations of classic tube amp preamp sections. By analyzing actual amplifiers at a circuit level, Mooer ensures the sound, touch response, and dynamics are preserved. Each Micro Preamp features dual channels, 3-band EQs, and gain/volume controls for total tonal flexibility. The onboard speaker cabinet simulation can be turned on or off, letting you plug straight into audio interfaces, monitors, or PA systems with no additional gear required. Whether you play at home, on stage, or in the studio, this pedal provides pro-level tone in a pedalboard-friendly footprint.
Connecting the Brown Sound 3 is simple and versatile. Plug your instrument or pre-effects chain directly into the input, and connect the output to a power amp or amp FX return. For direct recording or live sound applications, activate the speaker cab simulation and run straight into a soundcard or PA—no cabinet needed. The DC 9V (300mA) power requirement ensures compatibility with most pedalboard power supplies. Plus, the two footswitch modes (channel toggle or on/off) give you full control over performance dynamics. You can even route your time-based FX between the output and amp return using standard FX loop logic.

Connect your instrument directly or the output of your pre, pre-amp effects like Overdrive, distortion, etc.

Connect to a power amp or your amplifier’s effects return.(Highly recommend using a tube amplifier)
Different power amplifiers will affect the outcome of the final tone.You can also connect directly to a sound card and activate the speaker cab simulation for recording purposes
Note: You can connect your “fx loop” effects, like modulation and time based effects, in between the MOOER preamps output and the input of the power amp (fx return)
