Six compressor characters in one 500 series slot – from transparent polish to full-on smash. The Cranborne Audio Brick Lane 500 is a modal PWM (pulse width modulation) compressor developed in the UK. Each mode sets ratio, knee, style and timing for you, and the Stress control adds harmonic saturation when you want grit.
Why customers choose it
Who it is for
Engineers and producers with a 500 series rack who want one compressor for vocals, drums, bass and bus duties – from gentle levelling to aggressive parallel crush.

Good to know
- Needs a 500 series chassis (lunchbox) – for example the Cranborne 500R8 or 500ADAT we also list.
- True-bypass switching; a DIP switch sets complete bypass or post-input-trim bypass.
- Stepped front-panel controls make settings easy to note and recall.
FAQ
Can I use two for stereo?
Yes. Side-by-side modules link wirelessly with OptoSync; others link with a 1/8″ TRS cable.
Is it clean or coloured?
Both – very clean by default, with the Stress control adding harmonics.
