Turn your acoustic snare or tom into a trigger for electronic sounds – without changing its acoustic tone. The Yamaha DT50S is a dual-zone drum trigger that clamps on the hoop of an acoustic snare, tom or floor tom and sends head and rim trigger signals to a drum trigger module. Its solid die-cast metal body is made for durability.

Good to know
- A drum trigger module is needed to turn the signal into sound; the DT50S does not make sound by itself.
- Yamaha says it works with most popular hoops but is not recommended for wood hoops.
- For the bass drum, Yamaha makes the matching DT50K.
