The C40II might be one of Yamaha’s most inexpensive full-size classical models, but its quality and tone are outstanding.

Rosewood, maranti, nato and spruce are used throughout the construction giving the C40II a balanced sound with even response from both the highs and the lows – important for developing good technique from the start.

Precise fret positioning means that the C40II sounds in tune as you play further down the neck. It’s also important to be in tune when learning as a group.

The expertly contorted neck of the C40II leads to comfort and good hand positioning.

Quality materials are used for for simple, stable and reliable tuning.
C40II was voted winner of the best stringed instrument by listeners in 2011.
The C40II is great value for money and represents the quality entry level option for the keen student. Yamaha’s renowned reliability and durability have also made it a regular fixture in UK’s classrooms for 25 years.

One of the suitable light guitar with in beginners range, sounds exactly accurate , no blutness, used it for one and half years now, though I got with some rust strings, Go ahead of it is your first classical guitar, Action is also pretty decent and performs pretty well in closed space

Good quality, value for money, begginers got for it for finger practicing.

Perfect for beginners who want to start learning. The nylon strings sound beautiful, feel smooth, and are easier on the fingers compared to an acoustic guitar. The strings lasted me a very very long time and I’ve nothing to complain about.Note that classical guitars have different neck and fret board size compared to acoustic&electric guitars, so your practice on it might not transfer fully if you switch to playing a non-classical guitar

I received the guitar today itself and my first impression of the guitar is as follows :Pros-1. Lightweight2. Nice tone and sound quality, the soundsustains for a long time.3. Nice finish and build quality. The tuningpegs, nut and saddle are sturdy.4. The neck is matte finish and smoothwhich is good for maneuvering aroundthe fretboard.5. For the price of 6.5k it is worth it.Cons-1. It doesn’t have truss rod, hence if theneck bends then you can’t adjust ittherefore the guitar needs to be handledwith care and protected from moisture.2. You cannot attach a guitar strap to it, noplace for it. So you can’t play this guitarstanding up.3. The action on the guitar is midwaybetween being high and low, and giventhe fact that it doesn’t have a truss rod,it can’t be adjusted anyway. What youhave is what you get. Conclusion -All factors taken into account, I’d suggest that this guitar is great for it’s price of 6.5kAlthough i would suggest that if you can stretch your budget to 10k then you should go for Cordoba C1 which is almost the same in terms of specs but it features a truss rod which is helpful in the long run.

There are tons of reviews that mention already that the guitar is perfect for beginners, so I won’t go into more detail on that topic.Instead, I’ll mention what went right for me.The guitar arrived in a great condition. Was handled very responsibly by the delivery agent, and luckily, had no manufacturing defects at all. The finishing is superb and it really is a classy piece. A Yamaha warranty card, and manual came with the guitar. The stock strings are great, and the sound out of the box is amazing as well. Very satisfied with the product! Order from trusted sellers if you can, and hope for the best. You won’t be dissappointed 🙂
