Made in collaboration between Paul Wolff and Sunset Sound, the Wolff Audio Tutti Mic Pre is a 500 series mic/instrument preamp module based on the legendary preamp of the Studio 1 console. Sporting high-quality analog components such as discrete dual 990 op-amps and custom dual Cinemag nickel I/O transformers, this module offers classic warmth and versatility.
The Tutti preamp provides stepped gain control in 10 dB increments between 10 and 60 dB, along with adjustable gain trim of ±6 dB and a continuously variable output fader. Switchable functions include output polarity reverse, 48V phantom power (which avoids unwanted pops when switching), and Hi-Z instrument input selection for the front-panel XLR-1/4″ TRS combo input jack. Drawing less than 100mA per rail, this module is power efficient.

The product is made in tribute to Tutti Camarata, an audio innovator and the founder of Sunset Sound. Tutti, along with his internal engineering staff created the original preamp that was first installed into the Sunset Sound Studio 1 console and was used to record thousands of tracks in legendary sessions.Paul Wolff, along with Tutti’s son Paul Camarata, have painstakingly developed this 500 series version of the renown and now classic preamp. Attention to detail was a top priority, so naturally, they enlisted Cinemag transformer designer David Geren, who produced the original transformers, to make today’s versions.
