The classic AC15 sound in a head you can put on any cabinet. The VOX AC15 Custom Head (AC15CH) is a 15 watt all-tube amplifier head with EL84 power tubes, Normal and Top Boost channels, spring reverb and tremolo. It is for guitarists who want the VOX chime and crunch and already have, or plan to buy, a speaker cabinet.
Why customers choose it
- Real tube tone: all-tube, EL84-driven design giving 15 watts RMS of British VOX tone.
- Two voices: a Normal channel and the famous Top Boost channel with its own Bass and Treble.
- Built-in effects: spring reverb and classic VOX tremolo (Depth and Speed), switchable with the optional VFS2 footswitch.
- Volume control at home: Master Volume and Master Tone Cut let you shape level and top end.
- Flexible output: 16 or 8 ohm, with two speaker jacks.
Who it is for
Gigging guitarists, home studios and players who love classic rock, blues, indie and pop tones. A good choice if you want to pick your own cabinet, such as the VOX V212C.

Good to know

- Match the head’s impedance setting (16 or 8 ohm) to your cabinet.
FAQ
Is this the same as the AC15 combo?
It has the same Custom series features (Normal and Top Boost channels, reverb, tremolo) but in a head format without a built-in speaker.
Can I play it without a cabinet?
No. A tube amp should always be connected to a speaker cabinet when switched on.
