Description
The Strymon Mobius Multidimensional Modulation multi-effects pedal offers a wide assortment of some of the highest-regarded modulation effects on the market. Twelve different types of modulation are available with a turn of a knob, and you can deeply edit the effects and store them in the 200 onboard preset slots. And an incredibly powerful SHARC DSP chip powers the pedal for the best sound quality possible. The Strymon Mobius Multidimensional Modulation pedal is powerful enough to take the place of a lot of pedals on your board.
Deep editing capabilitiesThe effects onboard the Mobius are far from only re-creations of vintage tones. While the sounds in the unit are based around many iconic pieces of gear, Strymon added enough tone-shaping features to ensure you have full control over getting the sounds you need for any situation. The two parameter knobs on the front plate can be individually assigned to control various qualities per preset. And there’s enough I/O on the back to run the Mobius in stereo, control it via MIDI, and even plug in an expression pedal and get real-time parameter control.
Strymon: a philosophy of qualityStrymon pedals are quickly becoming an industry standard in professional-quality effects. They’re dedicated to offering exceptional customer service and, in their own words, making “gear that sounds better than anything you’ve ever heard.” This California-based company uses only the highest-quality components and powerful processors in their pedals. And each design offers more tweakable parameters than meets the eye for fine-tuning your tone. For musicians and producers seeking to unlock a world of sonic possibilities, the Strymon Mobius Modulation Pedal offers unparalleled versatility and pristine sound quality. Whether you’re aiming to add subtle movement or sweeping, complex textures to your guitar or keyboard tone, the Mobius delivers a comprehensive suite of modulation effects that can elevate any performance or recording. This pedal is designed for players who demand professional-grade modulation with intuitive control and studio-quality sound.
Modulation effects can often sound artificial or lack depth, but the Mobius addresses this by combining advanced digital algorithms with a user-friendly interface. It includes 12 different modulation types, such as chorus, flanger, phaser, tremolo, vibrato, rotary speaker, and more, each meticulously crafted to provide rich, organic tones. What does this mean for you? It means you have access to a wide palette of sounds without needing multiple pedals, saving space on your rig while expanding your creative options. The pedal’s high-resolution digital processing ensures every nuance of your playing is preserved, allowing your tone to shine through with clarity and warmth.
One standout feature is the choice between true bypass and buffered bypass switching. True bypass ensures your signal remains pure and uncolored when the pedal is off, preserving your original tone. However, when using longer cable runs or multiple pedals, the buffered option helps maintain signal strength and fidelity, preventing tone loss. This flexibility allows you to tailor your setup to your specific needs, whether on stage or in the studio. Additionally, the Mobius supports an expression pedal via its dedicated input, giving you real-time control over effect parameters like depth, rate, or mix. This hands-on control enhances your performance dynamics and makes the pedal feel like an extension of your instrument.
In terms of connectivity, the Mobius offers two 1/4” inputs and two 1/4” outputs, allowing for stereo operation. This stereo capability means you can create wide, immersive soundscapes that fill the room or studio space, perfect for ambient, experimental, or traditional music styles. The pedal is powered by a standard 9V DC power supply with a current draw of 300 mA, a common setup for professional pedalboards. Measuring 6.75 inches wide by 5.1 inches deep, it strikes a balance between compactness and ease of use, fitting comfortably on most pedalboards without sacrificing legibility or control access.
The Mobius is ideal for guitarists, bassists, keyboardists, and any musician interested in exploring modulation effects with precision and creativity. Its extensive presets and parameter controls cater to both beginners and seasoned players, allowing quick access to classic sounds or deep tweaks to craft unique tones. Whether you are performing live, recording in the studio, or experimenting at home, the Mobius offers a reliable and inspiring tool that adapts to your workflow.
