From run and gun shooting to proper film scenes. This mic suits any recording environment for video people out there. Works great as an on camera microphone but you can also attach it to a boom pole and plug it into a recorder.The sound quality has good bass and smooth crispy feel.Battery is 100 hours and that is alot!!10 years warranty is mind blowing.Switches on and off automatically which is very helpfull!And many more nice features! Best mic to buy right now. And will be because mics Don’t really change that much.

Update after 6 months :The fur automatically retained its original shape. Took a few months but the mic sounds perfect and also the wind attenuation (noise cancellation) feature is also very good. (You can enable it through in camera settings – in canon cameras)Happy with the purchaseThe FUR of this mic IS OUT OF SHAPE. And didn’t expect such an experience from Amazon. I’ve been shopping from Amazon since a very long time but never had such a bad experience. I need a replacement urgently
