I am a big fan of Rode microphones, including this mic, I have four different microphones of Rode company. Two condenser mics and two dynamic mics. I love each of one of these. But this time, the mic holder, which came with Rode M1 mic is very lousy. I can’t believe Rode can do some thing like this.

This is a dynamic microphone and therefore, less sensitive as compared to condenser type. Prefer this mic if your recording environment is noisy, since it support cardioid pickup pattern. There are a couple of things you should note:1. You cannot plug it directly in your laptop. You’ll require an amplifier. I used Rode A1 which costs around 9k. Consider this as part of your budget while buying this mic2. This mic picks up lot of popping noise from words starting with P, T, M, etc. Invest in a pop filter or cover with a fluffy cloth. Another aspect to factor in your budget3. There is a small hum(white noise) that gets picked up while recording. It is not a huge problem as it can be removed with Audacity.4. The mic build quality is awesome. It is built like a tank and is quite heavy. Conclusion: Worth buying.

Cost as much as Shure SM58 but works better and sound better for live concerts and shows

    Meglio dell’SM58
Assolutamente consigliato!

    yardım
tek sıkıntım ürünü kablolu ses sistemine bağlayıp şarkı söylemek fakat üründe açma kapama tuşu yok kabloda ne alacacağımı bilemiyorum nasıl yardımcı olursunuz acaba şu anda microfon u kullanamıyorum yada aux çıkışından microfona bağlantı kablosu lazım

    Nice microphone
I’m not a microphone connoisseur, but really happy with this one. I’d be curious to do a full head to head with some SM58’s and see if I can tell any difference when side-by-side. I was tossing up with the M2, but researching all the suggestions were that the dynamic ones just handle volume so much better along with much better feedback suppression. So since I have by dynamics in my vocals from softer up to really belting it out, I went for this one. Wouldn’t mind having both at some point, but since I’ve got this one it’s certainly served me well. Sounds good and is pretty solid and well made, doesn’t have lots of handling noise or anything. And I love that Rode are Australian and in buying this microphone, which is still really nicely priced, I’m also supporting local manufacturing here in Sydney!
