Full 88-key range for piano parts, with complete DAW control built in. The Nektar Impact LX88 Mk3 is an 88-key USB MIDI controller with a semi-weighted keybed, 9 full-resolution encoders, 8 faders, 8 velocity-sensitive pads and a 5-pin MIDI Out. It suits keyboard players, composers and producers who want a full-size keyboard that also runs their DAW.
Why customers choose it
- Semi-weighted 88 keys: redesigned keybed with 7 velocity options (4 curves, 3 fixed), plus pitch bend and mod wheels.
- Plays hardware too: the LX88 is the only LX Mk3 model with a MIDI Out socket, and it can also act as a USB-to-MIDI interface.
- Works with your DAW: Nektar custom integration for Ableton Live Suite, Bitwig Studio, Cakewalk/Sonar, Cubase, FL Studio, GarageBand, Nuendo, Logic Pro, Reason, Reaper and Studio One / Fender Studio Pro.
- Mixer control: 8 x 30 mm faders, LED buttons for mute/solo and encoders for pan and sends.
- Beats and pads: 8 velocity-sensitive pads with 8 pad maps and Pad Learn.
- Creative tools: Scale, Chord (including Smart Chords) and Hold.
Who it is for
Pianists and keyboard players moving into production, film and media composers, home and project studios, music schools, and live players who want to control plugins and hardware from one keyboard.

FAQ
Are the keys fully weighted like a piano?
No, they are semi-weighted – firmer than synth keys but lighter than a hammer-action piano.
Can I connect it to a hardware synth?
Yes. Use a MIDI cable from the MIDI Out socket.
Does it make sound on its own?
No. It is a controller – it plays sounds in your computer software or a connected sound module.
