Mooer 017 Cali MKIV Guitar Effect Pedals

Studio-Grade Cali Tones

The Mooer 017 Cali MKIV Micro Preamp delivers premium Californian combo amp tones in a compact, pedalboard-friendly format. This pedal replicates two channels from a legendary modern session amp, offering shimmering, responsive cleans and expressive overdriven tones. Whether you’re playing smooth blues, gritty rock crunch, or soaring leads, the Cali MKIV provides articulate dynamics and tonal precision. Designed using Mooer’s proprietary preamp sampling technology, it captures the warmth, character, and clarity of real tube amplifiers. This makes it a perfect tool for studio work, live performances, or home practice where authentic tone and versatility are essential in a minimal setup.

Dual Channel Flexibility

Equipped with two fully independent channels, the Mooer 017 Cali MKIV lets you instantly switch between clean and gain tones with separate 3-band EQ, Gain, and Volume controls for each. The clean channel delivers sparkle and headroom, while the gain channel spans everything from subtle grit to rich, saturated leads. You can switch footswitch modes between on/off and channel A/B operation, adapting easily to your live rig or recording flow. Whether you’re playing rhythm or lead, you get powerful tone shaping in seconds. Plus, the built-in cab simulation gives you the freedom to go amp-free without sacrificing sonic quality.

Powerful, Portable, Practical

With smart I/O options, the Mooer 017 fits seamlessly into almost any setup. Plug your guitar or pedal chain into the input, and send the output either into a power amp, effects return, or audio interface with the speaker simulation toggled on. It’s ideal for musicians looking to downsize without compromise. The Cali MKIV is powered by a standard 9V DC center-negative adapter with 300mA current draw, ensuring a quiet and stable signal path. From rehearsal room to professional stage or mobile recording rig, this preamp’s compact footprint and intelligent features give players reliable, high-quality tone anywhere they go.
