For professionals seeking to deliver powerful, precise low-frequency sound reinforcement, the LD System MAILA SUB 2 x 15″ Powered Bandpass PA Subwoofer offers an outstanding solution. Whether you are outfitting a live music venue, a DJ setup, or a corporate event sound system, this subwoofer provides the deep bass presence essential for an immersive audio experience. Its combination of robust output, advanced design, and intuitive control makes it a reliable choice for demanding audio environments.
Low-frequency performance is critical for engaging audiences and enhancing overall sound quality. The MAILA SUB features two custom-made 15-inch neodymium woofers with 4-inch voice coils, delivering a powerful 2500-watt RMS output through a Class D amplifier. This means you get substantial bass impact without distortion, ensuring your sound remains clean and dynamic even at high volumes. The 137 dB peak SPL and 132 dB average SPL guarantee that your low end is not only loud but also clear and well-defined, filling large spaces with ease.
The subwoofer’s bandpass cabinet design, constructed from durable 18 mm birch plywood with a protective polyurea surface, enhances sound projection while ensuring long-term durability. The quarter wave horn bandpass construction optimizes airflow and reduces unwanted resonance, translating to tighter, more articulate bass reproduction. For the user, this means the subwoofer can withstand the rigors of frequent transport and performance without compromising sound quality.
On the control and connectivity front, the MAILA SUB provides professional-grade features tailored to ease of use and system integration. It includes a single XLR line input and output for straightforward connection to your audio chain, maintaining signal integrity and flexibility. The built-in protection circuits guard against over-current, thermal overload, and limiter conditions, protecting your investment by preventing damage during heavy use. Additionally, the inclusion of the Logo Link® wireless app control allows for remote monitoring and adjustments, giving you real-time control over subwoofer settings without needing direct physical access.
Dimensionally, this subwoofer measures 540 mm wide, 934 mm high, and 803 mm deep, weighing in at just under 90 kg. While substantial, the six integrated handles facilitate easier handling and transportation, making it manageable for road crews and event staff. The universal power supply supports voltages from 100 to 240 V AC, allowing the unit to operate reliably in diverse geographic locations without the need for additional power converters.
The LD System MAILA SUB 2 x 15″ Powered Subwoofer is ideal for professional DJs, live bands, event production companies, and installation in venues where impactful, high-fidelity bass is paramount. Its high output and rugged design ensure it can meet the demands of both touring and fixed installations, delivering consistent performance night after night.
In summary, the MAILA SUB combines powerful custom-engineered components, smart design, and advanced connectivity to provide a subwoofer that meets the needs of serious audio professionals. With its exceptional output, durable build, and user-friendly features, it offers a confident investment for anyone looking to elevate their sound system’s low-frequency capabilities.
