Whether you are outfitting a corporate AV system, enhancing a house of worship, or elevating the audio experience in a restaurant or retail environment, this subwoofer delivers deep, impactful bass that enriches the overall sound quality and keeps audiences engaged.
Low-frequency sound reproduction is critical in creating a full, immersive audio experience, but many subwoofers are bulky, difficult to install, or vulnerable to environmental factors. The EVID-S12.1 addresses these challenges with its weatherized construction, allowing it to perform reliably indoors or outdoors without degradation. This means customers can confidently deploy it in outdoor venues, patios, or any location where moisture or temperature fluctuations might otherwise damage conventional speakers.
At the heart of the EVID-S12.1 is a 12-inch low-frequency transducer capable of handling 200 watts continuously and peaking at 800 watts. This power handling ensures the subwoofer can produce a maximum sound pressure level of 127 dB at one meter, delivering strong, clear bass that fills large spaces without distortion. With a frequency range spanning from 40 Hz to 140 Hz, it reproduces the essential bass frequencies that add warmth and depth to music, speeches, and soundtracks. The subwoofer’s sensitivity of 104 dB means it converts power efficiently into sound, achieving high output levels without requiring excessive amplifier power, which can reduce overall system costs.
Installation is straightforward thanks to the spring-loaded connector type, which provides secure, tool-free wiring connections. The cabinet itself is compact, measuring 413 mm in height, 584 mm in width, and 303 mm in depth, making it easy to position discreetly in a variety of venues without sacrificing acoustical performance. Weighing just 17.8 kilograms net (22.4 kilograms shipping), the unit is manageable for installation teams, yet solid enough to ensure durability and stability once in place. Available in both black and white finishes, the EVID-S12.1 can blend seamlessly into different aesthetic environments, maintaining a professional appearance.
This subwoofer is especially suitable for environments where consistent, high-quality bass reproduction is essential, such as conference centers, museums, theaters, and outdoor event spaces. Its weatherized design and robust build quality mean it can withstand the rigors of permanent installations or touring setups. Audiovisual professionals will appreciate that the EVID-S12.1 integrates smoothly with other Electro-Voice EVID series speakers, enabling system designers to create cohesive, high-performance audio solutions tailored to the specific needs of any project.
In summary, the Electro-Voice EVID-S12.1 12″ subwoofer cabinet delivers powerful, clear low-end performance in a compact, durable, and weather-resistant package.
