Cranborne Audio N22 Headphone Amplifier

Run mics and monitor feeds to the next room with one network cable – no heavy multicore. The Cranborne Audio N22 is a 4-channel Cat 5 snake and C.A.S.T. breakout box. It sends two balanced inputs one way and two balanced outputs back, all over a single shielded Cat 5e, Cat 6 or Cat 7 cable.

Good to know

• The N22 itself has no headphone amplifier. For a headphone output at the musician’s end, the N22H adds one.
• For a snake to a normal interface you need two N22 units (or an N22 and an N22H) plus a shielded Cat cable.
• Use shielded cable – Cranborne specifies shielded Cat 5e, Cat 6 or Cat 7.

Do I need a Cranborne interface?

No. Two N22s work as a standalone snake with any interface or mixer.

Will my condenser mic get phantom power?

Yes. Turn on 48V at your preamp and it passes down the cable to the mic.
