Why customers choose it
- Exactly the I/O you need: this configuration (SYM2-CONNECT-8-16X16SE-PTHD-PLUS) comes with Connect 8×8 MP module + 16×16 SE module: 8 mic/line preamps (up to 72 dB gain) + 8 analog out (DB25), plus AES, ADAT and S/PDIF digital I/O; 16 analog in / 16 analog out (DB25) + 2-ch coaxial S/PDIF.
- Pro Tools HD / HDX ready: the Pro Tools HD option card connects to HD and HDX systems; works with any Mac or PC running Pro Tools HD 9 or later.
- Mastering-grade sound: the SE modules are Apogee’s highest-performing Symphony modules: A/D 122 dB dynamic range (A-weighted) and -115 dB THD+N; D/A 126 dB and -119 dB THD+N. The 16×16 SE is the first Apogee product with the ESS 9822pro A/D chip.
- Record live bands and drums: 8 high-gain mic preamps (up to 72 dB gain) let you track a full kit or band without an external preamp.
- Hands-on control: front-panel touchscreen and control knob give quick access to sample rate, clock, levels and more; 1/4″ headphone output with Apogee Constant Current Drive.

FAQ
Can I change the modules later?
Yes. Symphony I/O Mk II has two module slots that take any combination of Mk II modules, plus an option card slot for other connectivity.
What is the difference between SE and non-SE modules?
SE modules are Apogee’s top-of-the-line Symphony modules: the 16×16 SE uses the ESS 9822pro A/D chip and an ultra-low distortion output driver.
