These Forty Sixties are the most incredible sounding set of monitors I have ever heard. I put them up directly against 4 other similarly priced or more expensive monitors. The Edifier S2000MKIII, JBL 305P MkII, ADAM Audio T7V, PreSonus Eris 5BT and PreSonus Eris Studio 5. The M-Audio’s wiped the floor with them. ADAM Audio and PreSonis probably came the closest but both lacked the bass and detail of the M-Audios. I also put them up against a pair of M-Audio’s BX5 D2s and these are a clear upgrade in every category, which is saying something because I loved the BX5s as well. These bring the vocals up front and forward without losing the detail of the instruments.Now it’s not all sunshine and roses, unfortunately. For some reason these monitors will randomly reset themselves and make an insanely loud pop/explosion sound that kinda sounds like a mix between a cannon being fired and .50 cal being shot right in front of you. Picture all of the bass in Skrillex’s entire discography being condensed into a single moment and then somehow punching you directly in every square inch of your body all at once. I’m sure I’ve already lost several years off my lifespan from what my heart has been through from having these things in my home for the last month, my wife included, but they sound so dang good that I’m just living with the consequences. My wife made me take out life insurance after getting these if that helps to paint a picture. You’ve been warned.To go into further detail for anyone else that might be more curious, it seems to happen about once a day and you never know when it’s going to strike. I can see the little power light completely shut off when this happens and come back on after a few seconds. It occurs even if nothing else but the power cable is plugged into them and I’ve gone through my house trying different outlets, surge protectors, and even UPS systems meant for audio equipment. It could still be something going on with the electricity in my home but I’m not sure what is different about these monitors that would cause this issue. I even sent back my first pair for a new set via Amazon and the new pair has the same issue. That’s the reason for losing two stars. If I could figure out how to fix this these would be the best pair of monitors on planet earth as far as I’m concerned.

with the 6.5″ you dont need a subwoofer..3 sound modes. They are simply the best studio monitors for that price range..NO DOUBT 💯

I had presonus studio 5 before nowhere as good as these , couldn’t hear bass properly on presonus , the whole speaker seems better quality on these , I think presonus just having people in so buy the sub
