A world-class clean preamp and an analogue saturator in one 500 series slot. The Cranborne Audio Camden 500 is a fully discrete, transformerless mic/line/instrument preamp designed in the UK. It was built from the ground up for the low-voltage 500 series format, and its Mojo circuit adds analogue saturation when you want character.
Why customers choose it
Who it is for
Studios with a 500 series rack who want a premium preamp for vocals, acoustic instruments, guitar and bass DI, and producers who want to add analogue warmth to in-the-box mixes.

Good to know
- Needs a 500 series chassis – such as the Cranborne 500R8 or 500ADAT we also list.
- The Hi-Z jack is on the front panel for guitar, bass and keys.
- The same Camden circuit is used in the rack-format Camden EC1 and EC2.
FAQ
Is it clean or coloured?
Both. With Mojo bypassed it is very clean; turn up Mojo for Thump or Cream saturation.
Can I use it on mixes, not just mics?
Yes. Set the input to Line and send tracks from your interface through Mojo, then record them back.
