The Evolution of Drum Racks: The Yamaha HEXRACK II
Discover the perfect blend of stability and portability with the Yamaha HXR2LII Basic Set, the core of the innovative HEXRACK II system. Unlike traditional round tubing, the HEXRACK II utilizes hexagonal, grooved aluminum alloy pipes, which completely prevent clamps from slipping and rotating once set.
This design ensures your drums and cymbals stay exactly where you put them, every time. The aluminum construction makes the rack surprisingly lightweight and easy to transport, while the steel legs provide a rock-solid foundation. This two-leg basic set is the perfect starting point for building a clean, professional, and easily expandable setup for any standard drum kit.
- Hexagonal Tubing: The unique hexagonal shape of the aluminum cross tubes provides superior strength and completely prevents clamps from slipping or rotating.
- Lightweight & Durable: The use of aluminum for the pipes makes the rack system significantly lighter than all-steel racks, without sacrificing strength or durability.
- Compact & Efficient: The two-leg design offers a stable foundation for cymbals and toms while maintaining a small stage footprint, perfect for most standard drum kits.
- Fully Expandable: This basic set is the core of the HEXRACK II system and can be easily expanded with a vast range of additional clamps and pipes to accommodate any setup imaginable.
- Quick & Easy Setup: The combination of memory clamps and a grooved rail system allows for quick, easy, and perfectly repeatable setups night after night.
