The ProPatch 128R features a no-compromise relay-based design with zero electronics in the signal path, offering numerous advantages. Additionally, relay-based designs require minimal power to operate and generate no heat, eliminating the need for cooling fans. Moreover, this straight-wire signal path is agnostic to the types of signals being routed, enabling it to pass full-bandwidth audio signals, both mic and line level, along with CV, MIDI, and digital signals with equal assurance. It also passes 48-volt phantom power with instant switching to prevent shorts. Lastly, the ProPatch 128R’s relays are latching, so if the unit loses power, your current routing remains intact.

Effortless software-based routing

The Wolff Audio ProPatch 128R is a next-generation software-controlled analog patchbay, allowing you to configure and manage routing presets effortlessly using the intuitive Wolff Hound software application on your Mac, Windows-based PC, or iPad. You can connect to the app via USB-C or Ethernet, then deploy your hardware processors like plug-ins. Drag and drop your devices into complex audio chains; then, you can audition, edit, and recall them instantly. Furthermore, the ProPatch 128R’s rear-panel DB-25 connectors provide 48 channels of I/O, while the front-panel I/O includes 16 TT I/O pairs, four XLR/TRS combi jacks, and four TRS jacks. These connectors enable you to integrate the ProPatch 128R into an existing TT patchbay system, quickly connect temporary gear, or scale up by interconnecting multiple ProPatch units to create a larger, fully recallable system.
