For professionals seeking a microphone that delivers exceptional clarity and reliability in demanding environments, the Telefunken M 81 Orange presents a compelling solution. Designed to capture the nuances of vocal and instrumental performances with precision, this dynamic microphone is ideal for studio recording and live sound applications where detail and durability matter. If you require a robust microphone that handles high sound pressure levels without distortion while offering superb feedback rejection, the M 81 Orange stands out as a trusted choice.

One of the defining features of the Telefunken M 81 Orange is its supercardioid polar pattern. This means the microphone is highly directional, picking up sound primarily from the front while minimizing background noise and side interference. For the customer, this translates to clearer recordings and live sound reproduction, even in acoustically challenging or noisy environments. Whether you are capturing vocals or close-miking brass instruments, this focused pickup pattern enhances isolation and reduces bleed from other stage sources, ensuring a cleaner, more professional sound.

The microphone’s frequency response ranges from 50 Hz to 18 kHz with a tolerance of ±3 dB, enabling it to accurately reproduce a wide spectrum of sound. This range covers the essential low-end warmth and extends to the crisp highs that bring vocals and instruments to life. For the user, this ensures that subtle tonal characteristics and expressiveness are preserved without coloration or harshness, critical for both studio and live scenarios. Additionally, the 25 mm dynamic moving coil capsule provides a natural, smooth sound signature favored by audio professionals.

Built to handle high volume levels, the M 81 Orange boasts a maximum sound pressure level of 135 dB at 1% total harmonic distortion. This means it can capture even the loudest sound sources, such as trumpets, drums, or amplified guitars, without distortion or clipping. Musicians and engineers benefit from this capability by having the flexibility to record or amplify dynamic performances without worrying about damaging the microphone or compromising sound quality. The built-in TELEFUNKEN Elektroakustik T80 transformer further enhances audio fidelity by providing excellent impedance matching and signal integrity.

In terms of practical design, the microphone measures 184 millimeters in length with a diameter of 48 millimeters and weighs 430 grams. This size and weight allow for comfortable handling and easy placement on standard microphone stands or clips. The robust construction ensures durability for frequent use in touring and studio settings, while the orange finish adds a distinctive visual appeal that helps it stand out on stage or in a rack.

The Telefunken M 81 Orange is perfectly suited for professional vocalists, brass players, and sound engineers who demand a microphone capable of delivering precise, noise-free sound reproduction in both live and studio environments. Its ability to handle high SPLs, combined with a supercardioid pattern and wide frequency response, makes it a versatile tool for capturing dynamic performances with clarity and accuracy.

In summary, the Telefunken M 81 Orange microphone offers unmatched directional control, high fidelity sound capture, and rugged reliability. Its thoughtfully engineered features ensure that users can confidently tackle a variety of recording and live sound challenges, resulting in exceptional audio quality every time. Priced at ₹36,380, this microphone represents a valuable investment for professionals who prioritize performance and dependability in their audio gear.
