Capturing the true essence of your voice or instrument requires more than just any microphone; it demands precision, clarity, and reliability. The Telefunken M 81 Cherry Microphone is designed for professionals and enthusiasts alike who seek exceptional sound quality in demanding live and studio environments. Whether you are recording vocals, instruments, or broadcasting, this microphone delivers a level of detail and presence that elevates your audio to a new standard.

One of the primary challenges in audio capture is isolating the desired sound source while minimizing background noise and feedback. The Telefunken M 81 addresses this with its supercardioid polar pattern, which focuses on sound from the front while significantly reducing off-axis noise. This means you get a cleaner, more direct sound with less interference from surrounding sounds, making it ideal for live performances and studio sessions where clarity is paramount.

At the heart of the M 81 is a 25 mm dynamic moving coil capsule coupled with the TELEFUNKEN Elektroakustik T80 transformer. This combination ensures a warm, natural tone with excellent transient response. The dynamic capsule is robust and capable of handling high sound pressure levels, up to 135 dB without distortion, which means it can capture loud sources like guitar amplifiers or drums without compromising sound quality. For the user, this translates to versatile performance across a wide range of applications without worrying about damaging the microphone or losing audio fidelity.

The frequency response of 50 Hz to 18 kHz, within a ±3 dB range, covers the critical spectrum for vocals and instruments, delivering a balanced sound that neither overly emphasizes nor neglects any part of the audio. This balanced frequency range ensures that your recordings or live sound are natural and full-bodied, allowing for more flexible post-production or live mixing. Additionally, the sensitivity rating of 1.54 mV/Pa ensures that even subtle nuances are captured with clarity, providing a rich and dynamic sound profile.

In terms of practicality, the Telefunken M 81 is designed with usability in mind. Its dimensions, measuring 184 mm in length and 48 mm in diameter, make it comfortable to handle and easy to position, whether mounted on a stand or handheld. Weighing just 430 grams, it remains lightweight enough for extended use without causing fatigue. The output impedance of 325 ohms allows compatibility with a wide range of audio equipment, ensuring seamless integration into your existing setup.

This microphone excels in various scenarios including live vocal performances, instrument amplification, and studio recording. Its rugged dynamic design makes it resilient on stage, while its precise sound capture makes it equally suited for detailed studio work. Whether you are a touring musician, a recording engineer, or a broadcaster, the M 81 provides the reliability and sonic excellence needed to elevate your audio projects.

In conclusion, the Telefunken M 81 Cherry Microphone is a professional-grade tool that delivers superior sound isolation, high SPL handling, and a natural frequency response, all housed in a user-friendly and durable design. Priced at ₹36,380, it represents an investment in quality and performance that audio professionals can trust. Choose the M 81 to ensure your sound is captured with the clarity, presence, and detail it deserves every time.
