For professionals and enthusiasts who demand superior vocal clarity and durability in their recordings, the Telefunken M 80 Purple microphone offers an exceptional solution. Whether you are a vocalist performing live or an engineer capturing dynamic sound sources in the studio, this microphone is designed to deliver a consistently clear and powerful sound that stands out in any setting. Its unique combination of precision engineering and robust construction makes it an ideal choice for those who refuse to compromise on audio quality.

One of the standout features of the Telefunken M 80 Purple is its supercardioid polar pattern. This directional characteristic means the microphone is highly focused on capturing sound directly in front of it while effectively rejecting unwanted ambient noise and feedback from the sides and rear. For the user, this translates into clearer vocal reproduction and less interference from background sounds, making it especially useful in live performance environments or noisy studios. The supercardioid pattern is perfect for isolating vocals or instruments, ensuring that your recordings are clean and professional.

At the heart of the microphone is a 25 mm dynamic moving coil capsule paired with the TELEFUNKEN Elektroakustik T80 transformer. This combination allows the M 80 Purple to handle sound pressure levels up to 135 dB without distortion, which means it can capture loud sound sources—from powerful vocals to amplified instruments—without compromising clarity. The sensitivity rating of 1.54 mV/Pa ensures that even subtle nuances in performance are accurately captured, providing a rich and detailed sound profile. For the customer, this means every performance, whether soft or intense, is faithfully reproduced with minimal coloration or distortion.

The frequency response of 50 Hz to 18 kHz, with a tolerance of ±3 dB, covers the full range of human vocal frequencies and extends comfortably into higher harmonics. This ensures that the microphone captures both the warmth and brightness of the voice or instrument, resulting in a natural and dynamic sound. The relatively low output impedance of 325 Ω makes the M 80 Purple compatible with most professional audio equipment, ensuring strong signal transfer and reducing potential interference or noise.

Physically, the microphone measures 184 mm in length with a diameter of 48 mm and weighs 430 grams. This size and weight combination provides a comfortable feel for handheld use during live performances while maintaining the solidity required for studio mounting. Its durable construction ensures reliability over extended use and travel, which is critical for touring musicians and engineers who demand gear that withstands the rigors of the road.

The Telefunken M 80 Purple is ideal for vocalists seeking clarity and presence, podcasters who require precise voice capture, and sound engineers looking for a reliable dynamic microphone that excels both on stage and in the studio. Its ability to handle high sound pressure levels without distortion also makes it suitable for miking loud instruments such as guitar amplifiers or drums, providing versatility across a wide range of applications.

In summary, the Telefunken M 80 Purple microphone is a professional-grade tool that combines precision, durability, and superior sound quality. Its carefully engineered capsule and transformer ensure clean, detailed audio capture with excellent noise rejection, while its ergonomic design supports comfortable use in any environment. Priced at ₹36,380, it represents a smart investment for anyone serious about achieving outstanding vocal and instrumental recordings with confidence and consistency. Choose the M 80 Purple and experience the difference that expert craftsmanship and thoughtful design bring to your sound.
