The Telefunken M 80 Chrome Microphone is designed for professionals and enthusiasts who demand exceptional vocal clarity and presence in live performance and studio recording environments. Whether you are a vocalist, podcaster, or sound engineer, this microphone offers a level of precision and durability that ensures your voice is captured with remarkable accuracy and minimal interference, allowing your performances and recordings to stand out with crystal-clear sound quality.

One common challenge in live and studio settings is the ability to isolate the desired sound source while minimizing background noise and feedback. The M 80 Chrome addresses this with its supercardioid polar pattern, which means it picks up sound primarily from the front and slightly from the sides, rejecting unwanted ambient noise and reducing the risk of feedback. This feature is invaluable during live performances or in noisy environments, as it helps maintain vocal clarity and presence without the distraction of extraneous sounds.

At the heart of this microphone is a 25 mm dynamic moving coil capsule paired with the TELEFUNKEN Elektroakustik T80 transformer. The combination delivers a frequency response ranging from 50 Hz to 18 kHz with a tight ±3 dB variance, ensuring that vocals sound natural and full-bodied without excessive bass or harsh highs. The 1.54 mV/Pa sensitivity allows the microphone to capture subtle nuances in vocal performance, meaning softer passages and intricate details are faithfully reproduced. Furthermore, the microphone can handle sound pressure levels up to 135 dB without distortion, so even powerful vocalists can perform without worrying about clipping or audio degradation.

In terms of physical design, the M 80 Chrome measures 184 millimeters in length with a diameter of 48 millimeters and weighs 430 grams. This makes it comfortable to hold for extended periods, an important consideration for live performers who require mobility and ease of use. Its robust construction and chrome finish not only provide a professional aesthetic but also enhance durability, meaning the microphone can withstand the rigors of frequent use and transportation without compromising performance.

The microphone’s output impedance of 325 ohms ensures compatibility with a wide range of audio equipment, from professional mixing consoles to portable recording devices. This versatility means you can integrate the M 80 Chrome seamlessly into existing setups, whether on stage, in a home studio, or in broadcast applications. Its dynamic design also eliminates the need for external power, simplifying the setup process and reducing potential points of failure.

In practical terms, the Telefunken M 80 Chrome Microphone excels in applications where vocal clarity and feedback rejection are paramount. It is ideal for lead and backing vocalists, spoken word artists, and live sound engineers who require a reliable workhorse microphone that performs consistently under pressure. The combination of professional-grade components, thoughtful design, and precise engineering makes it a valuable tool for elevating the quality of any audio production.

Investing in the Telefunken M 80 Chrome means choosing a microphone that delivers superior sound reproduction, rugged reliability, and exceptional feedback rejection. Priced at ₹46,135, it represents a commitment to professional audio excellence.
