The Samson Auro D1800 500W 18″ Active PA Subwoofer provides excellent low frequency reinforcement for PA loudspeakers, and is an ideal companion for the Auro series full-range speakers. The sub has an 18″ woofer with a 3″ voice coil, which is powered by a 500W RMS (1000W Peak) Class-D amplifier to deliver strong, thumping bass with low distortion. The subwoofer has a fixed-frequency electronic crossover to perform well alongside loudspeakers.
The rear panel features a balanced XLR stereo input, plus balanced stereo full-range and high-pass outputs for wide compatibility with a variety of sound sources and speaker systems. The subwoofer has a normal/invert phase control and a level control so you can adjust its output. Power, signal, and peak LED indicators let you keep tabs on performance at a glance. The cabinet has a robust 0.75″ solid plywood construction with a metal grille to protect the woofer. There are large metal handles for convenient transportation, and a standard 35mm pole socket lets you mount a speaker on top of the subwoofer.
