Good and durable
Bought as a replacement for my kick drum on roland ekit. Busted through the first one from a lot of double bass playing. As good as these skins are it’s a good idea to still put a patch on them for heavier playing.

La pelle è di qualità eccellente. Ma la cosa più importante è che – a mio parere – utilizzata con un kit ibrido – quindi montata su di un fusto acustico triggerato – restituisce un feeling molto fedele in termini di risposta, rimbalzo e sensibilità veramente sorprendente. Consigliatissima

These mesh heads cost a lot more than most other brands but I just had to give them a go and the result is AMAZING!I used this Roland mesh head on my 12 inch Alesis e-snare drum and the difference is so notable in both playing and sound. The triggering is so much better and the bounce is much closer to an acoustic snare!Not tried the REMO silent stroke (REMO make the Roland mesh head) because they are more transparent and I don’t want to see the inside of my electric kit so tried the Roland head and so pleased I did!Will be replacing the full kit with these soon.

Great head… but that price! Ouch!
As usual, Roland products are excellent. Price is CRAZY, but I wanted a reliable, resilient kick head that was at least 2 ply. I had previously installed Remo SilentStrokes on all 7 batter heads. They work, but they’re lackluster and the stick response is overly bouncy (my first foray into mesh heads on acoustic drums… going hybrid). Remo kick head lasted less than 3mo, so I wanted to try the Roland head. I’m not disappointed. Great response in feel. Triggers with no issue. Recommended, if your budget allows, since the kick head alone cost me more than a full set of the Remo heads. I have also bought a set of RTOM heads to try… just haven’t needed to install them yet.
