5 reviews for Roland GO:KEYS 5 Music Creation Keyboard | 61-Note Keyboard | Built-In Stereo Speakers | Mic Input | Bluetooth Audio/MIDI Support for Music Streaming – White

  1. MR. MIZUNO

    Arranger muy asequible
Sus ritmos son actuales, pero no se cargan tradicionalmente. Se deben usar paquetes y todavía no hay soporte o ritmos regionales. Su armonizador vocal y otras prestaciones son buenas para el precio.

Roland – Go Keys vs Go Keys 5 – Worth the Upgrade? (User Review)
Roland Go-KeysReleased in 2019, the original Go-Keys was a lightweight, compact, battery-powered keyboard. I used it everywhere: on tour, while traveling, at the cabin, around campfires, even in bed. It was perfect for taking anywhere and playing without hassle. At $400 CAD, it was an excellent toy, great for casual fun and singing along with friends. The Roland Go-Keys 5With more effects, a better display, improved sound management, and a 1/4” stereo output, the Go-Keys 5 is a solid upgrade. It also features additional speakers, improving bass response. The key action remains that of an entry-level keyboard, offering some velocity control, but nowhere near the feel of a professional instrument.I debated between the Go-Keys 3 ($599 CAD) and the Go-Keys 5 ($799 CAD), but the lack of a 1/4” stereo output and weaker speakers on the Go-Keys 3 convinced me to spend the extra $200 for the better model.User ExperienceI bought a first unit, but returned it immediately due to two major defects:•The pitch wheel didn’t function properly when pushed up.•The left speaker crackled above 40% volume, sounding like a faulty membrane.I got a second unit, and while the pitch wheel issue was fixed, the speaker crackling was still there, albeit less pronounced. After checking other reviews, I found out this speaker issue is common. At $799 CAD, Roland should address this flaw. For BeginnersThis keyboard can work for learning the basics, with its diverse sounds and fun features. But it will never replace a real piano. If you want to develop serious technique, you’ll need a better model.Transport & AccessoriesThe Go-Keys 5 is larger than the original, so I had to buy a new case. I found a Profile bag (~$100 CAD), which is a good choice, but be careful with the sizing—the same model exists for the original Go-Keys, so make sure to pick the right one.OverallWith 20 years of experience as a pianist and keyboardist, I’ve tested and played on many keyboards, and the Go-Keys 5 is an excellent toy, great for casual playing and easy transport. The sounds and features are fun, but the speaker issues are a real drawback. At this price, Roland needs to fix this problem. If they do, this could be a fantastic portable keyboard.

Great all around keyboard with some annoyances
I do mostly love this keyboard. First of all it is just aesthetically pleasing. The key bed feels great and the keys feel matte and not slippery as my old Yamaha synth. As someone who started with a piano, I really wish I could have weighted keys, but the extra is just not practical for someone who would be gigging. The tones/voices are very modern and a wide range of lush tones. I love that it has some serious synth capabilities, but includes the built in speaker. It save me from finding an amp every time I just want to practice. The audio fx feature is very limited, more than I realized, but it is fun and an interesting addition. Now for the annoyances. On some instruments, like one of the violins, the touch sensitivity is not as natural between levels of impact. And for anyone who will be doing gigging with the use of a wide range of voices like me, It has already become very annoying having to turn and turn and turn until I finally find the instrument I need in the other category. There should be a number pad as well to type in a number associated with the voice. Also, if I select. certain piano voice, for example, it should STAY on that piano voice every time I press “piano” until shut off. I know there is a way to program this into the “piano” or instrument button, but it changes from day to day and I can’t always remember how to get there.Lastly, I have to plug in my ac adapter, sustain pedal, and audio out every time, but I can’t see from the front or the back the names of the ports. I have to lift the keyboard up on it’s side every time. Other keyboards have indicators on top. I am going to add stickers on the top of the instrument to help guide me, so I don’t have to lift it up every time I want to plug in, so I can work around it, but it’s annoying.Another thing -the voices are very modern, so there are certain sounds I find myself missing from my old synth that just don’t have a comparable sound on here, despite the huge range of sounds.Yet another thing, transpose only goes +5 and -6. Why they didn’t simply go +/- 10 I’ll never know.Lastly, It seems very difficult to buy a gig bag and music rest. You’d think Roland would have thought of this and made it easier to find these items, but that’s not the case. All in all, it’s not perfect, but I think it is the best all around keyboard on the market because of its playability, rich sound, portability, and range of function.

    Sound
Volume is not very good. Not any Better than the gokeys 3

  5. Quality is low

    Good keyboard
Got this keyboard for Christmas. Shipping took (10 days) way longer than other Amazon orders. I love the sound options, the looks, and the connectivity. But the speakers sounds like a toy. Need to connect to your own speakers to sound good. The key action is not like a piano, but I understand that before purchase. The action feels heavy and I like it. The keyboard is light weight and certainly portable. You can purchase extra sound extensions from Roland cloud. Love this feature.
