MIX IN FX

Built to seamlessly support FX pedals, the AS50D allows you to design your own tone. Couple this with the amps’ inbuilt digital FX, which can be assigned to either or both channels, and you can effortlessly create your perfect sound.

BE HEARD

We know our amps get used in all kinds of settings, from bedroom to venue and everywhere in between. That’s why the AS50D features two specially designed 8” Celestion speakers and a high fidelity tweeter to deliver high clarity sounds no matter the location.

PLAY TOGETHER

With two channels and multiple input features, the AS50D is an incredible multi-use amplifier. Channel 1 has a high impedance input that is perfect for piezo or magnetic pickups, whilst channel 2 boasts RCA phono inputs in addition to a phantom powered XLR. This is not only perfect for both dynamic and condensor microphone, but also guitars, stringed instruments, and backing tracks. You can even use both channels at once whilst mainting the excellent sound quality.

CLEAR YOUR SOUND

Keep it clear with the anti-feedback controls. Use the AS50D’s phase switch and frequency controllable notch filter to lock in to offending frequencies and eliminate feedback across all channels.

10 reviews for Marshall Acoustic Soloist AS50D 50 Watt Acoustic Guitar Amplifier with 2 Channels, Digital Chorus and Reverb

I purchased this amplifier 2 months back, never found an issue with it.Guitar:I have used my Yamaha acoustic with a Seymour Duncan pick-up to connect it to channel-1 of the amplifier. The sound is awesome, the reverb and chorus features work pretty well with it. Cleanest acoustic sound I have ever heard with the amplifiers. Channel-2 has slightly less power with 6mm Jack but phantom power for XLR input suffices for it if you intend to use one mic and one guitar. I have also connected my electric guitar Fender Strat with this amplifier, I did not had any issues. It sounds great! With electric it is perfect for Jazz/blues playing. I have although not tried using a processor to produce distortion from amplifier as it is not meant to do that so cannot comment on it.Vocals:Vocals work great with dynamic mic on channel 2 which has phantom power XLR input, although a dynamic mic doesn’t need phantom power but I have Sennheiser E835-S and it works just fine. I had a condenser mic too but if you are closer to the amplifier, it creates a feedback loop and thus a loud humming sound comes out of the amplifier. Dynamic mic gives a better performance overall with vocal amplifiers anyway. The chorus and reverb can be used with vocals and they give a nice touch to the overall voice quality.Overall very satisfied with the product, it looks much much better than what you see in the pictures online. It is little heavy but being 50W you can’t expect it to be lighter. It reached out to me in great condition. When I had my issues with condenser mic’s humming, I thought it is a problem with amp so I called musiccradle (official dealer in India) who were Amazon’s seller for this amplifier, they responded properly and also troubleshooted the same with another mic and same amp they had.I also wrote to marshall support and they responded properly. In the end, dynamic mic works best with this amp for vocals unless you have a full sound proof cabin and proper distance from this mic so you don’t end up in feedback loop while using a condenser mic.

My guitar buddy and I are very happy using the AS50D amp
My guitar buddy and I are very happy using the AS50D amp. The looks are great and the sound is fantastic. The sound is full and clear and the Chorus and Reverb features add a lot to the total sound. The anti-feedback feature works well when using a microphone. Although this is an Acoustic amplifier we use is to play our electric Classical and the solid bodied electric guitars as well. I highly recommend the AS50D amplifier. I am sure I will enjoy using this amplifier for many years to come due to the great reproduction of sound and the beauty and durability of the unit as well. I looked at a lot of other amps before choosing the AS50D. Other 50 watt amps were much more expensive but failed to produce the rich sound and the great look the AS50D gives.

    Amazing Amp
Love Love Love It !!!I jam often at RV parks when we winter down south and play in music groups. I absolutely LOVE this amp. 50 watts is by far the most I need based on the volume that comes out of this thing. I plug in my acoustic guitar and microphone through a voice processor. The clarity of the instruments and voice are amazing. My last music jam in a small size “auditorium” only let me bring the volume up to #2 otherwise I was too loud for the other players and the audience! If you are on the fence about buying this … get off the fence and buy it. You will not be sorry! Besides, how can you go wrong … it’s a Marshall !!!

Perfect for guitarists using an acoustic set up.. Vocalists move on.
Really didn’t wanna buy a Marshall for the acoustics but so glad I did. Most acoustic amps have separate EQ setups with different parameters for the xlr mic set up which I don’t use. This amp allows me to have my 6 string in one channel and my 12 string in the other with effects and levels at one central mix to match tones to both guitars. Then use the line out to the board which saves an input line on the mixer. This also allows for better stage sound as to not rely on the monitor mix too much. The louder volume can resonate with acoustics causing a low impedance humm if you are not careful with the guitar volume. If you play in a band and don’t want or need a vocal mix this amp is perfect.

    great for home use
replicates the sound of my guitar at a louder sound. the only thing I didn’t like is if I would like to play it much louder then the sound gets distorted. this was because the guitar cord I used was not good at all. so I bought a much better cord and it did sound even better on louder sound, but it still gets distorted at some point.

    Great Amp for Solo Gigs.
Great amp! I play a Gretsch hollow body through it for solo singer/song writer type gigs in bars. I also play jazz and I use a solid body Guitar made by Luna. I can dial in a real nice clean tone. I use the reverb and just a little bit of the chorus. For the solo gigs with singing, I don’t have to tweak it much. I like the way the hollow body sounds through it. Plus its more versatile than an acoustic/electric. ( All thought I do plug a Fender Acoustic into it with great sounds). I recommend using a tilt back stand for it. Great quality amp at a good price.

    Awesome amp
This is a nice amp. I don’t move it much, it is posted up in my living room. I bought an aux chord for like 10 bucks to play songs with my phone into the amp to practice with my Breedlove guitar and that is a lot of fun with the two channels. I’m very happy with the sound and love the classic Marshall look.
