This one-of-a-kind, side-address condenser microphone hears like a laser, sounds like a ribbon, and is able to withstand a staggering 135dB of SPL without internal padding.
270 degrees of off-axis rejection allows you to confidently capture loud, impactful sounds live without the need to replace toms or re-track guitars due to bleed.
Creating a microphone with such strong off-axis rejection had a unique timbral side-effect — a sound similar to a ribbon microphone but without the fragility.
Capable of withstanding a staggering 135dB of SPL without internal padding, the LS-308 is nearly impossible to overload. Capture the loudest sound sources reserved for dynamic microphones with ease.
The LS-308 signal path is finalized with high-resolution, low-distortion polypropylene capacitors and resistors, a US-made low-noise FET, and a custom wound output transformer.
Two dedicated filters allow for immediate sound-shaping right at the source, removing the need to change out microphones in order to get the sound you want.
