Will it help my SM58-style mic on a USB interface?
Yes – that is the job it is made for. It adds 23 or 46 dB of clean gain to dynamic mics, so you do not have to turn your interface preamp to maximum.
Can I use it with my condenser mic?
No. iCON states it does not work with microphones that need phantom power.
