Gruv Gear MTD FretWraps String Muters 1-Pack

Cleaner, tighter playing – without unwanted string noise. The Gruv Gear MTD FretWraps String Muters (1-Pack) is a string muter (1-pack) in Black with MTD logo. This is the officially licensed Michael Tobias Design (MTD) version, reviewed and approved by Mike Tobias, and included with every MTD American bass shipped from 2013.

Why customers choose it

• Cleaner playing: helps cut unwanted overtones, ringing and sympathetic string noise.
• Adjustable: set the strap pressure for light or strong muting.
• Out of the way in a second: slide it behind the nut or onto the headstock when you want open strings.
• No modification: no tools, adhesives or permanent changes to your instrument.

Who it is for

Guitarists and bassists who record, play with high gain, use tapping techniques, play extended-range instruments, or simply want a cleaner, tighter sound on stage and at practice.

FAQ

Will it change my tone?

Gruv Gear says FretWraps control unwanted string vibration, not the character of your instrument, and you can set the pressure.

Can I leave it on the guitar?

Yes. Slide it behind the nut when you want the strings fully open again.

Which size do I need?

Small fits most 6-string guitars and 4-string basses; Medium suits 5-string basses and classical guitars; Large and XL are for extended-range instruments.
