SRI-2 USB Audio Interface features a robust aluminium chassis, the interface is a sturdy piece of gear reminiscent of the “old school” studios. Along with the striking design comes exceptional 21st-century audio quality and functionality. Best-in-class digital converters capture the detailed nuance of every recording. The large volume knob provides accurate control of the output level, and direct monitoring provides zero-latency tracking. The 2 XLR/TRS combo inputs are conveniently mounted on the front , so you can easily plug in your instrument or mic. The truly unique innovation, however, is the speaker switching capability, which allows you to A-B your mix on two sets of speakers (with one of them hopefully being from Fluid Audio).
With outstanding dynamic range and low noise, it provides pristine 24-bit/192 kHz audio quality and clarity. It’s premium mic preamps and transparent conversion translate into recordings with depth and richness. With both Combo inputs mounted on the front panel, you know exactly what is plugged in – no need to fumble with inputs on the rear panel. The convenient angled design allows you to easily reach all knobs and buttons, and LED indicators let you know exactly what positon they’re in – even in dimly lit studios.
The robust aluminum housing is not only attractive, but sturdy. It is at home in the studio as well as on the road. The volume knob is made of solid aluminum, which gives it the weight and the feel of vintage studio gear.
Above all else, it is a premium 2×2 USB 2.0 audio interface with outstanding 24-bit/192 kHz audio conversion. The SRI-2 connects to the outputs and inputs of other audio gear, and performs analog-to-digital (A/D) and digital-to-analog (D/A) audio conversions on the gear’s signals. The digital audio signals are routed into and out of the host computer via the high speed USB 2.0 protocol, which is carried on the single USB cable ( included ).
Compact and USB powered means portable. The USB 2.0 connection provides ample power to drive headphones for tracking or mixing, while at home or on the road. An external power input (Micro USB) must be used when connecting to your iPad, using the included Cubasis software. Whether you are recording an instrument, such as guitar, or using a microphone requiring 48V phantom power, all buttons and knobs are easy to access. Coupled with the included Cubase LE software, is a powerful and intuitive music production system. And though it comes with Cubase LE, it is compatible will all major DAWs, including Avid Pro Tools, Presonus Studio One, Ableton Live, Apple Logic Pro, FL Studio, REAPER, Bitwig Studio and more.
