And now, DW has upped the ante with its DW 5002 TD4 Turbo. The patented Dual-chain Turbo Sprocket lets this double bass pedal play even quicker and more controlled than past models. So whether you play lively jazz or speed metal, you’ll enjoy quicker single strokes with better dynamics control. Other improvements common to the DW 5000 series include the rubberized Tri-pivot Toe Clamp, which connects securely to hoops via three rotating mounting points, and the Dual Bearing Spring Rockers, which give both sides of the DW 5002 its silky-smooth response.
The DW 5002 TD4 features DW’s Tri-pivot Toe Clamp. This system ensure that your pedal and bass drum stay connected, no matter what hoop size or angle. The three rotating contact points are covered in rubber and articulate to the angle of the hoop at their points of contact. The result? You get a secure connection no matter how raucous you play, and your hoops stay undamaged.
A non-skid rubber base keeps your 5002 TD4 planted without the hook-and-loop tape of past systems. This protects delicate carpeting and prevents pet hair, etc, from collecting on the underside of your pedal. Prefer the tape? No problem. Standard hook-and-loop strips will attach to the DW 5002 TD4’s base as you need them.
