The Beyerdynamic DT 1770 Pro Mk II headphones are closed-back headphones that come with two different cables (straight and coiled) and two different kinds of ear pads (leatherette and velour), all packaged in a durable case for easy portability. The cables are fitted with 3.5 mm plugs used in most phones and portable audio players, but a 1/4” adapter is included. These headphones are efficient enough to be used with phones and portable players. These headphones were intended for use by recording professionals and musicians in recording studios; as such, their build quality is excellent. Although they are designed with professionals in mind, I have found them to be top-notch headphones for in-home use when listening to various genres of music – classical, jazz, rock/pop. These headphones excel at extracting information from recordings without overemphasizing any particular range in the audio spectrum. Simply put, you will hear what is on the recording.I found the DT 1770 MkII to be lightweight and comfortable to wear for extended listening sessions. I prefer the leatherette ear pads to the velour pads for comfort, but I can discern no difference in the sound quality using either type of pad. I found switching between the pads to be a little tricky, with scant instructions provided on changing them. (Hint: start attaching the new pads at the V-notch on the earphone cup.)It is possible to spend several thousand dollars on audiophile-quality headphones, but for those with more modest budgets, the Beyerdynamic DT 1770 Pro Mk II headphones will get you a long way down the road to audiophile nirvana. Highly recommended.

Don’t take much to drive, definitely sound good especially with music the fit is your standard byerdynamics especially how the ear cup fits around you’re ears. The build quality is also good I have the dt770 pro x limited edition and these feel more premium. Functionality they are pretty much plug and play but I’m running them with a g6 due to playing video games mostly competitive such as cod. Now the negatives I think 599 is a bit steep maybe 450-500 should be the price point. Other than the price these are great if price isn’t an issue don’t hesitate to buy.

Comparing these against my main cans: Sennheiser HD6XX. I typically run them using SoundID reference. The 1770 Pro MKIIs are much more bass-forward. However, it’s detailed and not boomy, just.. more than I’m used to!Top end detail is also slightly hyped / prominent, and can sometimes be fatiguing depending on the mix. I hasten to add, these are brand new and not “broken in” yet. I expect these to change (mellow?) slightly over time after more use.The 1770s are VERY different to the 6XXs; they’re slightly more dramatic and exciting to listen to because of the extended bass range and crispy top end.Build quality is excellent – everything feels sturdy, functional, and hard-wearing. Honestly makes my 6XXs feel slightly cheap (they ARE cheaper at around $200 but the normal HD650s and HD660s are priced similarly to the 1770s and use a lot more plastic in key parts.Does mean the 1770 Pro MKIIs weigh a little more by comparison. But overall comfort is great. I’ve got an average sized head / ears and the cups fit around my ears no problem, with slightly more clamping force than the Senns. I will say that the elliptical shape of the cups on the HD6XX / Senns in general might make them a safer choice for larger ears! Slightly less clamping force too. Mini XLR sits close to shoulder but wasn’t an issue in use.Versatility and ease of driving this headset was surprising; 30 ohms means that your iPhone can comfortably drive them. My iPhone 16 Pro provided enough output that roughly 75% of max was borderline uncomfortable. For on-the-go use, these can be used anywhere and connected to basically anything: both cables have a 3.5mm TRS with a screw-on 6.35mm (1/4-inch) adapter.Listening tests were similar when playing back from the iPhone and my audio interface (Audient iD44). Majority of listening was done from the iD44 and playing lossless audio from my Mac. Worth mentioning that there’s no SoundID reference for the MKII 1770 Pro yet, so couldn’t test with that. These handle most genres really well. Started off with some Massive Attack and the bass was visceral but articulate. Heading over to rock with Physical Graffiti and it handles the mids pretty well. I felt I preferred the 6XX more here but it was close and the drums had more impact on the 1770s. Mellowing out with some Steely Dan and the production shines, so many details in their music and everything can be heard on the 1770 Pro MKII.Cost is high but.. these are premium, made in Germany, will probably outlive you, and sound better than most cans in this price bracket. Comes with sturdy carry case, 2 cables (terminate in mini XLR, pretty easy to replace if needed) and leatherette cups if you don’t like the velour). For tracking and mixing, these are ideal.

Headphones sound/feel fantastic. They are comfortable.Changing the earpads is a very painful task and takes way longer than it should. They should use magnets or something rather than a tiny ring of rubber/plastic holding the cup on. Something i don’t think I should have to deal with when spending 600$ on a pair of headphones. If you don’t switch out the earpads much then it probably won’t annoy you or affect you much.

Kiepskie
Dźwięk tych słuchawek to tragedia.

Sehr guter Klang, hoher Tragekomfort
