The UCG102 is a USB interface that, like a guitar amp, receives signal from your guitar via a ¼ ” input jack. A built-in USB cable then sends the signal directly to your computer, where the amazing included software package simulates guitar amps and stomp boxes, in addition to tracking your latest masterpiece. It takes long time to get Traktion software installed, after long days of trials. Still I haven’t figured out how to get the effects and pedels promised to work in the Software. If you are not familiar with computers, you might need professionals to install CD.

I got a CD along with this product. Current version of the divers is 12.14 whereas we are getting 2.8.40. Blunder is it is not working even with 12.14 which I downloaded from behringer support site. Guitar combo softwares available in the CD are again outdated & it’s even impossible to install them. Without both of these it’s impossible to make the device work.

This is good at this price but if you are using windows 10, you won’t be able to install the official Behringer driver. You have to use asio4all driver.

Software lässt sich über die Ubuntu – Quellen installieren.Das Einrichten der Verbindung über das Jack Connection Kit war für mich etwas knibbelig, ich musste viel lesen, aber jetzt geht es.Ich kann jetzt über Rakarrak bzw. Guitarix spielen. Die Latenz habe ich auf 8.72 ms eingestellt (geht vermutlich noch was geringer), ich nehme keine hörbare Verzögerung war. Videos mit Sound kann ich über den VLC-Player mit einschleifen und so kann ich diverse youtube tutorials runterladen und durchackern.Soweit so gut, zum Üben absolut geil. Die Sounds kann man mMn. erst mit einem guten Kopfhörer bzw. anständigen Lautsprechern beurteilen, aber ich bin für das erste schon recht zufrieden.Für die Bühne würde ich es nicht verwenden, da die Verarbeitung jetzt nicht so super hochwertig wirkt. Für zu Hause macht es einen absolut guten Job.
