The FCV100 can accommodate two mono or one stereo instrument via dual 1/4″ INPUT jacks. By switching into NORM mode, the FCV100 is capable of controlling the volume of two individual instruments. In CV mode the FCV100 can control modulation and volume levels of other musical instruments by connecting OUTPUT 2 to the volume or modulation input of the instrument. In CV mode, when OUTPUT 2 is in use, INPUT/OUTPUT 1 can still be used for controlling the volume of another instrument, similar to NORM mode.

It’s Easy!

Once you have determined your hookup configuration, simply depress the pedal to increase sound, then rock back on your heel to decrease the sound. By turning the MIN VOL control, you can determine the minimum volume you wish to achieve. You can power this pedal with a 12 V DC Power adapter (not included) or a 9V battery.

Value

Dramatic shifts in volume and modulation can mean the difference between an ordinary musical passage and an extraordinary listening experience. Take hold of these mystifying nuances with the FCV100.

10 reviews for Behringer FCV100 V2 Dual-mode Expression Pedal

This pedal is built well and feels solid. It works well and is quiet, it takes 5 milliamps of current…that is very, very little…basically what it takes to power a small LED I suspect controls volume on the inside. Behring is usually a love/hate relationship…often great prices, some very good quality, some very low, some little quirks… This unit comes with a volume pedals to set the minimum volume when the pedal is all the way back…it has a knob and a shaft made of plastic, not nylon or aluminum, but cheap plastic…it took my foot about 2 days to move off of the pedal and break this pot shaft off flush with it’s collar. No big deal. You set this once and probably will never want to adjust it or bump it again.. I was able to take my finger and move this shaft even with it broken off flush with the collar and set it…so, it is probably best that it broke off…but this is some of the cheap little details that are some times goofy about this company. Here is another. This pedal has a unique angle of sweep for your foot…it is like driving a farm truck with a weird gas pedal or something…you do get use to it and it does work provided your foot/ankle have a good range of motion, but it is definitely different than any other companies pedal sweep angle. The price is very good for what you get, I plan to get 2 more and would recommend this overall. UPDATE: Have been using this 4 times per week for ten months on the Florida beach and it is working out very well with no problems at all. I am here to get another on for a 2nd back up pedal board I am assembling.

I got this pedal recently. All in all, it’s a pretty nice device, expecially for the price. Seems solid and well-made. It has a nice big pedal for big feet. It works smoothly. I have found no drawbacks to the operation or quality of this pedal. My only gripe, is that the power for the pedal is either by an internal 9V battery, or a 12V plug in power supply. Why the difference? The really bad part (for me) is that I bought this to install in a newly-purchased Behringer pedal board, which comes with a 9V power supply. So, in order for me to use this pedal in the board, I will have to run two different power supplies, or run the pedal on battery and everything else off of the pedalboard’s power supply. [Behringer…this was not thought out very well.] I’m now in the process of making myself an voltage adapter, but finding all the right parts has proven so far to be a hassle. Bottom line: the pedal itself is great, but the power supply thing could be a frustration to you.One final note about Behringer…they seem to get bad marks now and then. I really don’t understand why. I have two Behringer amps, two of their stomp boxes, the above-mentioned pedal board, and the volume pedal just discussed. I really like all of them. I have never had any problem with any of these items. They perform well, are well made, and certainly, all came at a reasonable price. Behringer’s full range of products is so extensive, that I see little reason to buy any other brand. I’m sticking with them.

I use this pedal at church to fade in/out ambient pad loops played from my iPad to help with transitions, etc. The pedal is pretty solid and sturdy and can control two separate mono signals simultaneously. I have used one input for the pad loops and the other for click track. I use a cable with 3.5 mm stereo headphone male that terminates in two 1/4″ mono male ends. I plug the 3.5mm into the headphone out and the 1/4″ into the pedal. This kind of implementation has been tremendously useful in helping the praise band fill-out the sound as well as transitioning discreetly between songs and elements of the worship service. If you start hearing a distorted signal, replace the battery. As of yet, I have not used this pedal as an expression pedal. The sweep is very smooth (though, it may seem a bit fast.) Only cons: 1) getting into the battery compartment is a little cumbersome 2) does not take a standard 9v power source [requires 12v?] and 3) the tilt range to engage/disengage the pedal may be a bit uncomfortable for some [I have not personally had problems with this.]

Initially I was impressed with the construction of this pedal. It seems rather well built for the price…. thats where the positivity ends. I plugged it into my power supply and it didn’t work so I switched to a 9 volt. I took the cover off, attached the battery and spent the next five minutes trying to put the cover back on correctly. The battery cover is a prime example of piss poor engineering IMHO. I plugged it into my rig and when I played I could not believe what I heard…. utter CRAP! Tinny, shrill, thin and above all NOISE NOISE NOISE! I guess there are some things you cannot go cheap on… I’ve learned my lesson here!

I purchased this volume pedal for my keyboard and it did work fine. I was on a pretty tight budget at the time and it really was all I could afford. There are a lot of reviews about this pedal and one pretty universal complaint is that the AC adapter has to be 12 volt. I did however read on a different website that a 9 volt adaptor would actually work in place of the 12V. I have not tried this myself but it might be something to try if you already have this pedal or something to research if you don’t. It would make it compatible with your pedalboard power supply if it does. Battery life seems to be pretty good. You have to pull the input 1/4″ wire out of the pedal to turn it off which for me is not ideal as I sometimes forget. I did leave it on for about 18 hours and the battery was still good so I will guess it has good longevity. There is a small red LED on the side that will show you battery status and hopefully remind you to disconnect it but good luck with that. The pedal is not particularly heavy and I have trouble because I have it under the keyboard and I have to extend my foot to put it on the pedal and it tends to walk away a bit on a bare floor. If you are a guitar player you might not have that problem but be aware of it anyway. You won’t find a cheaper pedal, but if you don’t need it right away save up and perhaps get something a bit better if you can afford it. If not, this one will get you by for sure.

    Excellent quality and value
Very impressed by the build quality of this volume pedal. I’m using it to control the volume of backing tracks. Hard to imagine how this can be sold as such a low price! Highly recommended.

    Cumple muy bien su función.
Es un buen pedal, lo utilizo para volumen, cumple su función, solo debes de cuidar que el eliminador de corriente sea el adecuado para que no tenga ninguna falla.
