How Does Equalization Work?
Imagine the audio frequency range as a very wide highway with lots of “lanes”. Each of these lanes represents a specific frequency band.
- The lanes on the left side contain the really low frequency content, mainly bass, bass vocals, and the kick and tom drums
- The middle lanes make up the fundamental zone of most musical instruments and the male and female vocals
- The right-hand lanes have all the high frequency stuff, such as snare drums, cymbals, higher pitched percussion instruments and the content that adds sizzle to the mix

Audio quality of this product is great..fbq feature works very well..if will help to find out the praking frequency..also the light indicatikn of eq also look very cool..but the main issue of this product is crackling noice coming from any one of channel or both channel..if some one lucky may be they will get perfect product..

Great for use on a home stereo
Superb. I have this hooked up in parallel with the Behringer FX2000 Effects Processor and the two working together with a Yamaha R-S700 receiver driving two Polk Audio TSi300 towers and two old 80 watt Pioneer floor speakers is incredible. Since the 1980s, I have always run four speakers with a graphic equalizer and can’t seem to live without one. This unit features fully adjustable high and low frequency cut as well as an adjustable input select, not just on and off, which makes an incredible difference in sound quality, which is notably different between sources. As an older guy with an extensive vinyl and cassette collection, the ability to to precisely control frequency response depending on the source makes an amazing difference. Not surprisingly, slight slider adjustments make a big difference in frequency response given their limited travel, which is easy to forget at times so be careful about that if your overall sound quality seems to deteriorate. For what I use it for, it works great and does everything I need for it to do and at a affordable price and I highly recommend one if you’re looking to use one with a home stereo. The unit runs a little warm, so if it’s enclosed in a cabinet I would recommend a good low noise cooling fan.
