From the manufacturer

C-2 microphones are built to capture the performance of a choir, piano or any other vocal or acoustic sound source to provide a beautiful true-to-life sound. Sold in perfectly matched pairs, these outstanding C-2 mics are ideal for acoustic guitars and overhead drum studio and live sound applications.

What is a Condenser Microphone?

A condenser mic is the ideal choice for capturing vocals or acoustic instruments, either in live or recording settings. By their very nature, condenser microphones are much more sensitive than dynamic microphones, enabling them to pick-up even the subtlest of signals. Thanks to their cardioid (heart-shaped) pattern, C-2 microphones pickup your source signal while rejecting off -axis sounds that can ruin an otherwise perfect recording. Another difference between condenser and dynamic mics is they contain active circuitry that requires phantom power (+48 V DC) for operation. You can power them from any phantom power equipped BEHRINGER XENYX mixer – plus enjoy the benefits of our state-of-the-art XENYX mic preamps.

Sound That Astounds

Once connected to your sound system, you’ll notice these twin pro-caliber microphones have exceptionally-flat frequency response (an average boost of 4 dB between 1 kHz- 8 kHz). For those of you new to condenser mics, this basically means you’ll get a slightly brighter sound, that will give the perfect shape to cymbals and overhead miking. Acoustic pianos and choirs will also benefit greatly from this frequency response. The cardioid pickup pattern provides unparalleled sound source separation and feedback rejection. C-2 mics contain ultra low-noise transformerless FET input circuitry that can handle extreme dynamics (from 20 Hz to 20 kHz) and have a maximum sound pressure level of 150 dB. C-2 mics also feature a switchable low-frequency rolloff to eliminate infrasonics (mic handling and wind noise), as well as a switchable 10 dB input attenuation to accommodate for hot signals, such as a really loud vocalist – or overzealous cellist.

10 reviews for Behringer C-2 Condenser XLR Microphone Cardioid

  1. Abei Savino

    Great product.Great price.

  2. Rajib Ghosh

This pack of 2 condenser mics is perfect for recording vocals, instruments etc. These mics need phantom power to work so the Behringer Q802USB is the perfect accompanying mixer. These mics may not work very well with the Q502USB because this mixer does not supply the full 48V power. This results in noisy and low amplitude recording. You can also connect these mics to a separate phantom power source and output the resulting audio to a phono-jack on a mixer. These mics are all-metal, tiny and light. They are also unidirectional, and sensitive from the top. In fact, these are exceptionally sensitive and pick every nuance of vocals, guitars and even tabla. You will need a XLR – XLR cable (not supplied) and a mixer with 48V phantom power supply to make these work. They will not work if you hook them up-to a soundcard or a computer.Let me know if the review was “Helpful”.

I hooked up these to my Focusrite 6i6 interface.I find that I have to turn up the gain knobs on my focusrite to fully turn highest. Is that normal ??

  4. Dr. Roger H. Ephraim

Bought this for a choir and bought it over the Samson mics. Loved the small form factor and the great sound. Very clear and useful for recording solos as well. We used it to record percussions and the sound was crystal clear even for cymbals. Worth every penny.

  5. Alezo

I got convinced after going through the international reviews and bought this condensers and trust me, it’s the best decision I’ve made. The sound quality was very good and the range was superb, I first used it at a children’s choir show and it picked up the voices very well and clear, yes, mic placing is very important so if you placed the mics at the correct position then you’ll get better voice output.

  6. Aking Sangtam

Form the hundreds of reviews you already know that this is simply the best at this price range. However, if you are wondering about its self noise then, in my case, it didn’t even matter because the ambient noise was louder than the self noise. Meaning, I didn’t hear the self noise.

  7. CREATIVE STUDIO BOX

Very good for acoustic instruments like guitar, violen, tabla, sitar etc.I record acoustic guitar and it’s giving me best sound quality..

  8. Amazon Customer

The product packaging and the case in which the microphones have come are very good in quality.Easy to carry in a laptop bag. Works really well with Zoom h4N recorder. I hope they had also provided with XLR cables so that is not a separate expenditure. But still for the price the product is really amazing.Thanks.

Volveria a comprar.

  10. KenZ
