It is a condenser microphone, so you will require phantom power to make it work. I connected this with my behringer um2 audio interface and I am satisfied with sound quality. This is good product at this price range and sounds amazing. Microphone cancels sound which is not near microphone, so you can get your sounds clear. Built quality of mic is good and it comes with sturdy case. Buyer delivered product on time and did follow up with me, which shows he is geniune seller.

Could have been better in terms of quality of product, gives a humming sound when I touch the head had to open and check it was because of a wire which was loose had to reasseble before the show. You definately need a good quality audio interface for this microphone

I already have rode nt 1 however i got behringer c1 as a back up. The quality of the mic is not that good (ok lows poor mids and below satisfactory highs) however its manageable in mixing. Anyway cant expect the beat quality in this price, however its good for beginners and people with home studio who are on a tight budget for a condenser microphone. Definitely a value for money product.

As the cardioid pattern, the response is not that sharp. Low and High frequencies are not up to the level in raw audio, I mean it sounds not that sharp. You have to increase the gain from your interface to get the satisfactory sound and need to edit your voice and saturate the recording to make it good. If you’re a beginner and you know little bit editing then go for it. But if you’re looking for something with clarity then don’t invest in this mic (rather invest some more and go for AT2020).

Behringer C1 is a great mic for its’ cost
The Behringer C1 is a great mic for the money. Not the greatest microphone ever made but the C1 is a competent lower costing microphone with decent specifications that can be used for pretty good sounding recordings. On voice it does require a decent pop filter and is definitely not a hand held microphone. It should be stand mounted with an isolation clip if possible. Also, WARNING … This microphone requires a phantom power supply of at least 36 volts to work properly. Many smaller consoles do not supply enough voltage which will produce inferior audio results. 48 volts is what I would recommend for best results.
