A classically designed Class AB amplifier, Avantone builds the CLA-200 the old-school way, with no-compromise components in a rugged 2U convection-cooled chassis that visually complements the CLA-10 Studio Reference Monitors. Of course, the CLA-200 can be used with any passive studio monitors that require serious dynamic range. Avantone exercised meticulous care to create an amplifier in the traditional studio style, with generous VU meters, high-grade Japanese components, and a beefy toroidal transformer linear power supply.

Meticulously designed into a standard 2U rackmount chassis, this amp can generate over 200 watts per channel into an 8-ohm load, making it perfect for medium-to-large speakers in a studio control room environment. The CLA-200 is convection cooled, so there’s no fan noise — which makes it even better suited for control room installation.
