This microphone does everything it promises and more. The clarity is excellent and feels great in your hand. Buy a foam/pop filter as it is quite sensitive. It’s a great microphone for podcasters who are on a budget, the output is excellent!

A shout out to the Pioneers in Microphone Technology , (Silent Note that its Tech & Sound & Dynamic’s very very similar to Shure SM58) ,Wanted to buy an alternate for my SM58 but with a ON OFF Switch and this was the best option was the Mighty Sturdy MB-1Ki use it for Speech & Vocals …

Got this mic from Audio Technica. As this is a dynamic one, plugged in a 4 pole 3.5mm to xlr cable to Laptop. The laptops have been plugged in to power. Tried with Lenovo and Dell as well as a Tab. It doesnt work even with adjustments to the sounds on windows 10.

This microphone from audio technica has the best response one could expect. I have never heared any microphone reproduce every subtle nuance of my vocals the way this microphone has.It also has an on/off switch which is really helpful and is not present in every microphone out there.

Best Response, “Hands Down,” Of Any Microphone Out There
I am 61 years young. I have had the opportunity to pursue my musical career as a gospel songwriter/singer. I have recorded in several studios across the country. I have used the $2,000+ mics. Every vocalist is looking for that “just right” response from that “just right” mic. It always seems to be just beyond their reach! Over three years ago, a friend that worked at a major retail music store suggested that I try one of his Audio-Technica MB-1K Midnight Blues Series Unidirectional Vocal Microphones. I thought that he had to be joking when I looked at the cheap price of the microphone. He insisted that I plug into a system and listen to the response of the mic. I proceeded and I did not regret it! I have never heard any microphone reproduce every nuance of my vocals the way that the A-T MB-1K reproduced them. I did not haggle with the purchase price. Actually, I paid less than $50.00 for that first mic and would have paid several times more than that after trying it out! If fact, just being totally honest, the reason that I just purchased another A-T MB-1K is that I am afraid that they may quit making it! I have a gospel ministry called JC & Company. I do praise and worship programs all across the country. Just in case someone decides they need my mic more than I need it (if you know what I mean), I will have a brand new backup. And by the way, it has an on/off switch. No, that’s not tacky for a mic! It’s a necessity when you walk up to a powered up system and you are the solo vocalist operating that system. With the flick of the switch, you are “on.” The switch is quality. I have seen higher end mics with switches that allow trash and dirt to invade the switch cavity causing shorts and headaches. This switch covers the entire cavity area eliminating this problem. Also, the switch has absolutely no popping sound when activated. The shaft of the mic is designed so that you can’t hear anything when turning on the mic. I can truly say that Audio-Technica raised the standard when they built this mic. What’s so amazing is that they build it and sell it for a truly fair price. Check it out. You will agree with this assessment. Have a blessed day!

Very good micrpohone for the money
The microphone is clear and really brings out your voice. Some mics are muddy but not this Audio-Technica. It has a clear sound that does a great job. You can’t beat it for the money. BnB Beatles Depot
