How do I choose my first DW model?

Think about what you need first. If you want a better pedal, look at a single bass drum pedal. If you play with two feet, look at a double pedal. For stands, a straight cymbal stand or a hi-hat stand is a simple start. Check the series name on each product page.

How does the DW range differ between categories?

On this site, most DW products are hardware, pedals and accessories. These include stands, boom arms, beaters and felts. A smaller group is acoustic drums, such as tom drums from the Design Series. Pick hardware and pedals to improve your set-up, and drums to add new sounds.

How do I look after my DW gear?

Keep pedals and stands clean and dry. Wipe off dust after playing. Check that bolts and wing nuts are tight before each session. Store pedals in a bag when you travel. Replace worn felts or beaters when they stop feeling even. Keep drums away from damp and direct heat.
