The quality is pretty good. No major issues.Fix: Intonation has to be fixed once you receive it. Reduce the string height from the fretboard.Only con: The strings aren’t great. They’re okay for beginners who are learning, but replace with better strings ones eventually.

    Great quality and playability !!
I have wanted to order this guitar for a couple of years and I finally pulled the trigger and I’m glad I did . This guitar once set up properly plays almost effortlessly and the stock pickups were actually not bad but I wanted to change them out to an invader style humbucker in the bridge position . The neck is thin and smooth and the frets have no sharp edges . I switched to roller string trees and locking tuners as well . This guitar is just far above the squire strat with a flatter radius fretboard and a humbucker in the bridge position . Definitely more grunt than a strat and it plays better in my opinion . I’ve had 3 nice strats over the years and I just prefer the Pacifica over the fender all day long .

    Great guitar
I looked for three months for a left double coil hum bucker guitar. This guitar is solid wood. The nude color is naked wood. It is beautiful, well built and hundreds less than the Fender 70’s Vibe with comparable sound. Great guitar for my son’s second year of playing. I was told by his teacher the double coil makes it so they do not outplay the guitar. If he wants it he can keep it for his guitar career.

    Happy Lefty!!
I wanted an electric guitar BADLY but alas, I’m left-handed. Granted, there are definitely options for left-handed electric guitars out there, especially in the beginner market. The downside is that there are *fewer* options and less opportunity to be picky. This is why I’m SO HAPPY to get my hands on this guitar. She’s gorgeous. Even if I was right handed and had all the options to choose from, I would still prefer this style so I’m grateful that it was the one available for lefties. Purely based on aesthetics, I’m glad I bought this over the Squire bullet — I can’t stop fawning over the wood look lol.Aside from style, the guitar itself plays great. It’s VERY beginner-friendly and I’ve learned so much using this guitar and I never feel limited by it. As a beginner, I have to say that I’m not very discerning when it comes to sound, however I love that I can easily use the knobs to adjust the tone to get the sound I’m going for.In sum, it’s totally beginner-approved. I’m glad I committed to getting a lefty guitar because having played ukulele right-handed back in grade school, it’s a lot less confusing to me and I’m improving faster than I did learning ukulele righty. It did come with the high E string broken (sad), but the guitar center person replaced it for free (yay). I guess that’s what I get for ordering a guitar through Amazon but hey, I would appreciate that not happening.

Misadvertized as a Rosewood Fret Board, When in Actuality is the Fret Board is Walnut
I was really hoping that this guitar would be the right solution. The guitar was advertised on the website as having a Rosewood fret board, but in actuality the fret board is Walnut. If Yamaha continues to make this guitar and produces it with a Rosewood fret board then i will purchase more of them. The photos are of a Left-Handed Yamaha Pacifica PAC112JL Yellow Natural Satin on the left, and a Yamaha Pacifica PAC112J Lake Placid Blue on the right. You can see that the PAC112JL YNS on the left has a Walnut fret board, and the PAC112J LPB on the right has a Rosewood fret board.Again the website stated that the PAC112JL YNS had a Rosewood fret board, and if it had one when I purchased it, I would have kept it.I would also love to see a Yamaha Pacfica PAC112JL Lake Placid Blue (Left-Handed) if they made those I would buy more of them.P.S. If the PAC112JL YNS had a Rosewood fret board I would have given it 6 stars.
