The M81 is a proven choice for countless sound sources both in the studio and on the stage. It possesses the same condenser-like response, minimal proximity effect, and superior feedback rejection one expects from a TELEFUNKEN Dynamic Series microphone. In the world of professional audio recording and live performance, capturing the purest and most authentic sound is paramount. The Telefunken M 81 Copper Microphone is designed for discerning musicians, engineers, and broadcasters who demand exceptional clarity, precision, and durability from their equipment. Whether you are recording vocals, brass instruments, or amplifiers, this microphone delivers a sound quality that elevates your work, ensuring every nuance and detail is faithfully reproduced.

One of the most compelling reasons to choose the Telefunken M 81 Copper lies in its dynamic supercardioid design. Unlike generic microphones that pick up unwanted background noise, the supercardioid polar pattern focuses tightly on the sound source directly in front of the microphone. This means you can achieve cleaner recordings with minimal bleed from surrounding instruments or ambient noise, which is crucial in studio settings or live environments where sound isolation is challenging.

Equipped with a 25 mm dynamic moving coil capsule, the M 81 Copper offers a frequency response ranging from 50 Hz to 18 kHz with a ±3 dB tolerance. This broad and balanced frequency range ensures that whether you are capturing deep, resonant bass tones or bright, crisp highs, the microphone maintains a natural and accurate sound profile. The sensitivity of 1.54 mV/Pa allows it to pick up subtle details without distortion, which means your recordings will retain their richness and depth, even at lower volumes.

A standout feature of the M 81 Copper is its TELEFUNKEN Elektroakustik T80 transformer. This custom-made transformer enhances signal integrity by reducing noise and distortion, providing a warm, vintage character prized by audio professionals. The maximum sound pressure level (SPL) of 135 dB ensures that the microphone can handle loud sound sources such as brass instruments or guitar amplifiers without clipping or distortion, preserving the quality of your recordings even in demanding situations.

In terms of practical design, the microphone measures 184 mm in length with a diameter of 48 mm and weighs 430 grams. These dimensions make it both robust and comfortable to handle during extended recording sessions or live performances. The 325 Ω output impedance guarantees compatibility with a wide range of audio interfaces and mixing consoles, ensuring seamless integration into your existing setup without the need for additional adapters or equipment.

The Telefunken M 81 Copper Microphone is versatile, making it an excellent choice for various applications. In the studio, it excels at capturing the natural tone of brass instruments like trumpets and trombones, as well as electric guitar cabinets and vocals that require a focused and detailed sound. On stage, its supercardioid pattern reduces feedback, making it ideal for live amplification of loud instruments. Audio engineers will appreciate its blend of vintage warmth and modern clarity, allowing for creative flexibility across genres.

In summary, the Telefunken M 81 Copper is more than just a microphone; it is a precision tool engineered to enhance your audio production with superior clarity, durability, and tonal fidelity. Priced at ₹46,135, it represents a valuable investment for professionals seeking to elevate their sound quality. With its advanced features and reliable performance, this microphone gives you the confidence to capture every performance with uncompromising excellence.
