For musicians, vocalists, and audio professionals who demand clarity, precision, and reliability in live and studio settings, the Telefunken M 80 Yellow Microphone stands out as an exceptional choice. Capturing sound with remarkable accuracy while effectively rejecting unwanted noise, this microphone offers a superior performance that elevates your audio experience. Whether you are recording vocals, instruments, or broadcasting, the M 80 Yellow delivers consistent, professional-grade sound quality that truly makes your voice or instrument shine.

One of the key reasons the Telefunken M 80 Yellow is highly sought after is its dynamic design paired with a supercardioid polar pattern. This means it captures sound predominantly from the front while minimizing background noise and feedback from the sides and rear. For live performances or recordings in acoustically challenging environments, this feature translates to a cleaner, more focused sound, allowing your voice or instrument to cut through the mix effortlessly without interference. This microphone’s ability to isolate the desired sound source reduces the need for excessive post-processing, saving you time and effort.

At the heart of the M 80 Yellow lies a 25 mm dynamic moving coil capsule, engineered to handle a frequency range from 50 Hz to 18 kHz within a ±3 dB tolerance. What this means for you is a natural, balanced sound reproduction that captures both the warmth of lower frequencies and the crispness of higher tones. This wide frequency response ensures that vocals sound rich and full-bodied, while instruments retain their authentic tonal characteristics. The TELEFUNKEN Elektroakustik T80 transformer integrated into the microphone enhances signal integrity by reducing noise and distortion, resulting in a clean and robust output.

With a sensitivity rating of 1.54 mV/Pa (±1 dB) and a maximum sound pressure level of 135 dB for 1% total harmonic distortion, the M 80 Yellow can handle loud sound sources without distortion, making it ideal for dynamic vocal performances, electric guitars, brass instruments, and more. The microphone’s output impedance of 325 ohms ensures compatibility with a wide range of professional audio equipment, facilitating straightforward integration into any setup.

Regarding physical attributes, the M 80 Yellow measures 184 mm in length with a diameter of 48 mm and weighs 430 grams, striking a balance between sturdiness and comfort. Its solid build quality ensures durability for frequent use on stage or in the studio, while its ergonomic design allows for comfortable handling during extended sessions. The vibrant yellow finish not only adds a distinctive visual appeal but also makes the microphone easy to spot among your gear.

The Telefunken M 80 Yellow is perfect for vocalists seeking a microphone that can deliver exceptional clarity and presence on stage, as well as for recording engineers who require a reliable dynamic mic that excels in capturing a wide range of sound sources without compromising quality. Its ability to minimize feedback and ambient noise makes it a trusted tool for live sound reinforcement and broadcast applications alike.
