For professionals seeking unparalleled audio clarity and precision in their recordings, the Telefunken M 60 Cardioid Stereo Set Microphone offers an exceptional solution. Whether you are capturing intricate acoustic instruments, nuanced vocals, or detailed ambient soundscapes, this microphone set is engineered to deliver pristine sound quality that preserves every subtle detail. Its advanced design and superior components make it an indispensable tool for studios and live environments where accuracy and reliability are paramount.
One of the standout features of the Telefunken M 60 is its use of FET condenser technology combined with interchangeable edge-terminated small diaphragm capsules (TK60, TK61, TK62). These capsules are designed for different polar patterns, including cardioid, omnidirectional, and hypercardioid, providing versatile options to tailor the microphone’s response to your specific recording scenario. This means you can achieve optimal isolation of your sound source or capture a broader ambient sound field with ease, resulting in recordings that are both natural and focused.
The frequency response of 20 Hz to 20 kHz within a ±3 dB range ensures that the microphone accurately reproduces the full spectrum of audible sound, from deep bass to sparkling highs. For the customer, this translates into recordings that are rich, balanced, and free from unwanted coloration. Additionally, the very low total harmonic distortion (THD) of less than 0.01% at 1 kHz and 1 Pa guarantees that the microphone introduces virtually no distortion, preserving the integrity of the original sound.
With a sensitivity rating of 10 mV/Pa and an output impedance below 120 ohms, the Telefunken M 60 is compatible with a wide range of professional preamps and mixing consoles, ensuring a clean, strong signal with minimal noise interference. The microphone’s high maximum sound pressure level capability of over 135 dB means it can handle very loud sources without distortion, making it suitable for recording everything from delicate string instruments to powerful drums.
The microphone requires +48 V phantom power, a standard in professional audio setups, and its compact dimensions (140 mm length by 20 mm diameter) combined with a lightweight design of just 110 grams make it easy to position in tight or complex recording environments. This portability and ease of handling allow for flexible placement options, whether on a boom stand, in a stereo pair configuration, or mounted on an instrument.
Ideal for studio engineers, sound designers, and musicians who demand the highest fidelity in their recordings, the Telefunken M 60 excels in both stereo and individual microphone applications. Its precise polar patterns and superior audio fidelity make it perfect for capturing orchestras, choirs, acoustic ensembles, and solo performances with clarity and depth that truly reflect the artist’s intent.
Investing in the Telefunken M 60 Cardioid Stereo Set Microphone means choosing a professional-grade tool that combines innovative design, meticulous craftsmanship, and exceptional performance. With this microphone, you can confidently capture your sound with accuracy and detail that will meet the highest standards of any production environment. Its price point of ₹182,300 reflects the premium quality and enduring value it offers to discerning audio professionals.
