The Rode NT2A Large Diaphragm Condenser microphone is an excellent studio microphone, 3 polar patters (cardiod, figure 8, omni), a -5 and -10db pad, 40 and 80hz high pass filter all easily selectable with quality switches right on the front of the microphone. The sound is very natural, hardly colored at all. Excellent on vocals, very useable as a drum overhead mic, and does a great job of capturing what’s actually coming out of a guitar amp. And there are more applications that the NT2A is great.

Its an amazing piece of technology. Good for recording vocals at studio or home.As its a condensor microphone, it requires a pre amp with 48 volts of phantom power. If u dont require to record vocals from two sources simultaneously, go for cheaper NT1A.This one is more expensive as it has two diaphragms facing opposite directions.Made in Australia.. built is rock solid.Only issue I faced was lack in output (even with gain turned up to 100%) & crackling sounds (as if wind is striking its diaphragm continuously) after using it in relatively high humidity (more than 70%).But thank God, crackling noise was temporary.. dissappeared after I placed it with dried silica dessicant packs.. back to crisp vocals in 2 hours.Using it with Behringer UltraGain Mic100 & FocusRite Scarlett 2i2, I found Mic100 gives better vocals that Scarlett.Rode provides 10 years of warranty only after registration & it requires to select dealer’s name from their list provided, unfortunately mine wasnt listed & I am still struggling to get it done. So before buying from any seller, check its name mentioned beforehand.

Product was dot on Time and Packaging was awesome..Product Quality : Mic is rock solid and heavy. the moment you grab it into your hands you will feel you have invested in the right product.. its robust.. coming to shock mount Its steady and heavy too. both mic and shock mount are bit heavy .. so you need a heavy duty stand for it..MIC Quality: i have been using focusrite CM25 MIC for 3 years … after plugging in Rode NT2A .. I felt like it gave me Wings to my vocals and to this price range its the best… low frequency are warm, mid is smooth and highs are crisp for vocals…I also recorded Acoustic guitar and its really crazy.. i never expected this would really change the quality to this extent. Before ordering the product i was bit skeptical weather to invest near to 28k for home studio. but its worth it and you can take it too if u can afford it…

I am a proud owner of Rode NT2A since last 3 years. Thought I must share my experience orelse many wouldn’t know what an Awesome performer it is. You would be mesmerized by it’s voice output quality. Warm and so soothing. It has diaphragm on both sides, means two singer can sing from either end. NT1A has only one, that’s the difference 😊. You would never regret once own it.
